lcfc sheff Posted 26 February 2022 Posted 26 February 2022 He’d be quality, can see him being an England starting centreback in the next few years
LestaLad Posted 26 February 2022 Posted 26 February 2022 Very good news. Exact type of player we should be going after.
Ric Flair Posted 26 February 2022 Posted 26 February 2022 Yes please, he's got all the ingredients to be a superstar. 3
Langston Posted 26 February 2022 Posted 26 February 2022 All over it for the right price, do think we need some experience at CB though. Tarkowski would've been perfect for a good sum but think he'll go to Newcastle now. 1
MPH Posted 26 February 2022 Posted 26 February 2022 We’d potentially have the youngest CB pairing in the prem with this guy..
-sodapop Posted 26 February 2022 Posted 26 February 2022 would absolutely love it, but Chelsea are looking to refresh their backline a bit too this summer, so he might get a look-in there.
NasPb Posted 26 February 2022 Posted 26 February 2022 We should get one young player as a cb and another experienced one. Wouldn't be against him as the prospect 2

I still have a feeling that he is coming here on a free, but either way we need an experienced player or a young player with an experienced mindset. Edited 26 February 2022 by sacreblueits442

I don't know why they'd sell him, but I thought the same about Tomori and Guehi. They're nuts. 3
Ian Nacho Posted 26 February 2022 Posted 26 February 2022 These types of signings should be made more often. Payers such as Lamptey and Livromento have straight from youth teams into Premier League starting XI's with no issues. 1
Aleksz Posted 27 February 2022 Posted 27 February 2022 Going off the evidence of Guehi, Lamptey, Livramento and many more. Yes please. 2
glebe_sydneyfox Posted 28 February 2022 Posted 28 February 2022 Big yes from me, anyone have an idea of what kind of fee we'd be looking at? Do Chelsea normally throw in buy-backs with other academy graduates that they sell on?

I know he’s a different type of player to Kantè but they don’t utilize him in the way we did anyway.. so we’d probably have a bit more bargaining power to not have a buy back clause.. 1
teblin Posted 28 February 2022 Posted 28 February 2022 Isn't it rumoured hat Chelsea are interested in Cags?

More like the £25m Palace paid for Guehi which is a punt for someone with only a years Championship experience but we'd want the same if not more if we had an academy player like that in the Championship. It's a calculated risk. It sounds like we've identified him as our number 1 target very much like we did with Fofana. 1
CloudFox Posted 28 February 2022 Posted 28 February 2022 Just realised he's a left-footed centre back. Gerrimin. 2

It's because they needed to raise the finances to buy Lukaku, as a striker was seen as the "must-buy" position after the Champions league win. This will be the same case this season too. Even though they probably will offload Lukaku, they are going to get nowhere near the amount they paid for him, so will lean on their youth setup again. All of the Chelsea U21 players, barring Hudson-Odoi look like they will be very good if not great players. Would be a brilliant signing for Leicester, and would be a good move for the player too! Hope there's some truth around this one. 1

Nicolo Barella Posted 1 March 2022 Posted 1 March 2022 Colwill would be a good replacement for Soyuncu, as a young and hungry player.
