Granted it was too passive tonight but it was an excellent away performance. Chelsea did a Leicester and had loads of the ball but barely any meaningful chances or concerted pressure.

 

I'd like to see him leave particularly if we're going to lose some of the players rumoured who'd stay if Rodgers didn't decide (Iheanacho the biggest one here) but you can't slag him off for tonight's performance. Did a good job as we were well organised.

I thought tat was a great result. Most of the team played really well , although I personally thought Thomas and Barnes were not that good. But overall, we played well against a team that will finish third in the PL. FFS, I'm old enough to remember that a draw against Chelski was the same as a win.

It’s a very good point.

 

If you think we played that game with Mendy and KDH as our midfielders we were never going to control the game.

 

My worry is that the cupboard looks bare in midfield and Youri’s off, KDH is still a work in progress and N’didi is limited in his attributes. I think how well we recruit in this area in the summer will define our season. We have to get it right!
