 Is Leicester the right place for him to be, judging by the influence Jonny Evans has on players alongside of him  the answer would be yes.

  With quality CBs on the books, Rodgers tends to gravitate to a back 5 so a good chance of games would be available.  Obviously we want aspiring young players coming into the club, so I am bias in this respect, but going to Southampton or playing it sane at Chelsea, will stall your career as you are not getting the opportunity to put what you have learned into practice. 

  

Rodgers was switching between a 4-2-3-1 and 3-5-2 all preseason. I think he prefers the former, but realizes he has three excellent strikers, so needs to be able to get them on the pitch, and he is more comfortable using a 3-5-2 than a diamond against most teams.

 

Still, there are a lot moving pieces happening this window, and I expect a lot of activity in late August, with loan moves going in and out. I think Colwill is most likely a loan in rather than a purchase.

This won't happen now might as well close this thread.

 

We won't talk to chelsea about Fofana so why would they sell us Colwill.

We have five CBs, six with Brunt and even a fallback with Ndidi , so barring injuries we should get by. We have four fullbacks not counting Bertie and if you count Soumaré , three back up DMs so we are not short of numbers.

Still lots of moving parts in this transfer window with the World Cup coming up. 
 

I could see Players rocking the boat and pushing for moves, if they think they have a chance of making international squads by moving clubs. Especially is their place is threatened by new arrivals.

They are short of CB's as it is. So they ain't going to help us unless we help them.

Nah, I bet theres legs in this. Chelsea went to crap when Chilwell and James picked up injuries last season, Alonso wants out to Barca and Tuchel needs Wingbacks. The fact Cucurella has played at cb in the back 3 will also appeal.

Romano has stated that any deal with Forfana will not involve Colwill. Maybe this is why, he is being freed up for the deal with Brighton. Can see it now, we accept 75 mill for forfana, they get some sort swap + cash with Brighton for colwill and cash
 

chelsea end up with with forfana and cucarella

brighton get colwill and 30mill cash

we have 75 mill in the pocket and strike deadline day deals for dunk and bednarek at 15 mill a pop. Bliss 🤞

Apparently Cucurella finished the season very strongly at Brighton by playing in the left sided CB of a back 3.

 

I can see Brighton accepting something like £35m + Colwill. It'll be the end of any Fofana talk if they did get him IMO.
