Cucurella would be wasted at CB

Not sure what your point is. He can and has played at CB in a back 3 which adds a desirable level of versatility which makes him attractive to Chelsea. He can compete with and cover Chilwell, whilst also being able to cover at the back if there's an injury. Which helps massively with their CB situation.

Well the way they play is pretty interesting. 3 at the back when out of possession, 2 at the back when in possession. When it works it's like having all the advantages of 3 at the back with defending, with all of the advantages of 2 when attacking. Plus he could always deputise for Chilwell who had a very serious injury. I could see why they would be in for him.

Chelsea seem a little scattergun at the moment.

funnily enough, chillwell hasn’t featured in preseason much… appears to have not come back at his best. They will be looking to cucurella as a starting lb

I think he's probably ahead of Chilwell anyway. It'd be mad to sign such a talented player with the idea of having him as cover in my eyes. I can only assume he'll be a regular there.

Brighton would be mad to let him go for so little as well, unless he's only got a year left on his contract?

I'm hearing Colwill to Brighton as part of the Cucurella deal is a real possibility.

i gues they can offer who & what they like but if Cucurella has his heart on Man C with Pep & not the scattergun approach of chelsea, Cucurella stays at Brighton & they have an unhappy player in their ranks

dammmmn it looks like chelsea are trying to move on sarr now, which could mean they hang on to him.

Wouldn’t complain at all if we went for sarr though

I think getting Sarr and Colwill in a deal for Fofana, possibly with one of Chelsea's spare wingers thrown in, plus cash, would be good business.

News is all over the place on that. He wants to go, but Chelsea hasn't agreed yet, at least according to a bunch of news reports. But maybe he will be on the same plane as Soumare!

Sarr is the type of player that we are currently desperate to get off our wage bill.

Bellend. Colwill, Chilly, Chelsea pay their wages for the duration of their contracts with us AND £60 million.

No idea some people how to negotiate.
