The old “better than meaningless friendlies” argument is going to be tricky for Southgate next time round when we’ve been relegated to Tier B lol

Even worse - my recollection is Southgate claimed Maddison didn't have enough "Premier League Experience" to call him up, then called up Mount whn he was on loan at Derby.

He didn;t even play in the Prem until 2019-2020! Southgate  seems to be besotted with him, the thought of playing any other attacking midfielder at all brings him out in a cold sweat. and he has to reach for an emergency six pack of right backs just to settle him down.

Then it will just be like the qualifiers - won’t gain anything from playing middle ranked teams or lower.

This is hard to watch it really is! Germans are all over England like flies on rice. we just look hopeless, panic stricken, lacking confidence and composure. I've no idea what plan they are trying to exact. Lets see if Grealish can conjure up anything. Crying shame Madisson isn't out there.

This ****ing formation again. Bellingham and Rice expected to be doing double work. Three attackers unbelievably disattached. 
 

All to accommodate the Tank at CB cos he’s got no pace

You can understand the reports of players being frustrated at how much Maguire needs to be assisted.

It's made out to be 343 but it always ends up 523 with noone to link play to the forwards as Yes Man always chooses 7 defensive players plus the keeper who is garbage.
