Be surprised if this doesn't happen. They clearly want him, have cash now and 20m feels a fair trade off.

Just hope we can use it wisely. Got a feeling well try and push for another loan for Lookman as to not use it there this season.

Monaco fans thinking it will be a swap for Diop

We need to have the ‘take a seat son’ chat and explain swaps don’t happen.

Wouldn’t be the worst deal IMO, but yes, they almost never happen

What would be the primary reason for which you think it wouldn't happen? I mean i agree it's rare ofc

Just because it’s so rare, but I agree with @FoxesWalk in that it would sensible and would probably suit all parties.  :dunno:

Makes you wonder what has held him back from succeeding here. Whilst getting our money back is probably sensible given the squad size and wage issues we have, if he goes part of me will be disappointed he never really got a full chance to succeed here. Still think he has the potential to be a very good player.

How he played against Leuven after having a full season tells me everything i need to know, hes had a full chance and he didnt seem hungry to prove his worth. sell on

I think he’s already has his head turned by Monaco tbh, links started over a week ago, but yeah it was disappointing

Would love to see him do well. Has a lot of attributes which could make him a fantastic player. But sorry, we need players off the books now to strengthen in other areas. So good bye and good luck.

Not sure what I did to the post above lol

But basically along the lines of that I've said since day 1 his attitude, work rate and performance stinks, (and was hammered for it) nothing since shows he its going to get better.

Again, I'd rather give Perez and Bertrand a 4 year extension than give this guy a season in our first 11

Going forwards he had the tools to be a dangerous player for us, unfortunately, if you can't win your battles or even compete in his case, then you're going to struggle to make much of an impact. Such a shame that the club don't feel they can get it out of him. If we can cut our losses though it's probably best for both parties.

Out of the players that are expandable, Soumare would be amongst the ones I’d like to still see at Leicester.

Shame we’re getting rid of a young man with a good pedigree and room to develop as opposed to someone that has proven they lack the quality, or have their contract running out soon.

I’m simply working on the basis that if this is what it takes to unlock our transfer window then we should try hard not to lose it. Loaning him out only seems wise if we expect his form to get better or his value to rise. That’s possible - but it also might be that we’re in exactly the same position next summer with too many players to get off the books.

....there are 10 players coming to the end of their contracts next summer!!!

Unless this is a permanent move, which in a way would be a shame, I don't see why this would be good news

Tbf I wanted him to be good but he’s ducking crap! There is a player in there but unfortunately it won’t come out in this country.
