References this article https://www2.deloitte.com/uk/en/pages/sports-business-group/articles/deloitte-football-money-league.html Nowhere in that report does it say we don't have any debt, nor does it say anything about debt at all, being concerned solely with revenue 1
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 5 July 2022 Posted 5 July 2022 So people moan that we are selling him, yet when we mention loaning him people then moan we aren’t selling him. If Owynn’s tweet is true regarding funds not being an issue and it’s more down to quantity of players then it is a win win situation. as long as he performs then it’s raises his value from what it’s currently worth after a poor season. Or he develops further and we can revaluate the situation with us. 1
Walkerfox Posted 5 July 2022 Posted 5 July 2022 Does a loan not help in that he’ll go back to a league he was previously very good in? Obviously it’s not guaranteed but there’s a good chance he’ll perform well with them and as a result, drive his price up. That’s the thinking behind it anyway I’d imagine.

Deloitte may know something we don't to be fair and it's plausible that we've repaid Macquarie and Top has put in his debt as equity. The accounts are so far behind they tell us very little to be honest.
Dames Posted 6 July 2022 Posted 6 July 2022 Another £15 million pound+ player we will just loan out until their contracts expire or they move for a pittance. Can someone remind me why we are regarded as one of the best run clubs in the league? this is like the 4th or 5th £15 million pound+ signing that has gone this way... 1
DezFox Posted 6 July 2022 Posted 6 July 2022 We won’t even get his wages off the books if he goes on loan, no doubt we will pay a percentage of them anyway, doubt there will even be a loan fee. This deal will be nothing more than damage limitation.

Well they're not though are they? As they've said something different to what's in the accounts. That's if they've actually said it, all I saw was it on a tweet. I'd also add to this that people read far far too much into our accounts. You're taking an irrational past time for a billionaire and trying to rationalise it as a business. Barely any football club makes a profit and many don't even seek to. Edited 6 July 2022 by Chocolate Teapot

It's not looking too much into it, it's just responding to the notion we have no debt.
Nick Posted 8 July 2022 Posted 8 July 2022 What’s all this in the Athletic about Soumare going on loan to Monaco?

Popular Post lgfualol Posted 19 July 2022 Popular Post Posted 19 July 2022 (edited) This legit? Rejected a 15m bid from Monaco. We want 20m. https://www.footmercato.net/a6947876957137959744-las-monaco-a-fait-une-premiere-offre-pour-boubakary-soumare After discussing a loan at the start, which was completely ruled out by Leicester, Monaco have made a first offer, according to our information. This amounts to 12 million euros, to which must be added bonuses which bring the whole thing up to around 15 million euros. The Foxes rejected this proposal, they who fixed the price of Soumaré at at least 20 million euros. Monaco, which sold Aurélien Tchouameni for more than 100 million euros to Real Madrid this summer and which therefore has cash, should quickly come back with a second offer. No brainer given our issues. If we could squeeze a sell on clause in as well then I'd be happy. 3
