A huge downgrade. Even the Youtube video, supposedly showing his best bits, have him parrying every shot back into play. Schemichel is as good a keeper as Vardy is a goalscorer, but we will not realise that until he's gone. Another leader being let go because Rodgers can't handle him. No doubt Kasper is still annoyed when Rodgers took him out the team to stop his record of consecutive games, when there was absolutely no need.

Nope, not even close. I get he is going and it is a big loss, but that is a million miles from true.

Well, he seemed to be able to handle him for the 155 games he played under him.

There’s so much projection going on with that appearance milestone. I bet Kasper didn’t give a flying fig about the consecutive appearance thing, why does everything have to lead to a falling out, it’s bizarre

It’s pretty clear to me he wants a new challenge. That happens in life. He’s been here for over a decade, and he’ll have achieved more than he ever dreamed. He’s 35 and If he wants to live in the south of France to see out the twilight of his career then he should have everyone’s blessing.

Yes he’ll be a loss, but it’s how you move forward. Lafont looks a top drawer young keeper and is someone who’s profile should interest us. It’s a big decision who fills Kaspers gloves but it was going to come either in the next year or two. We won’t have been caught cold and will have planned for this. Ward, Iverson, Lafont whoever it is will get my backing

What you can’t replace is his leadership and the standards he demands. Losing Kasper and Big Wes from the leadership group within 12 months is a massive sea change and we need new leaders to step up and set that standard. KDH I’m looking at you

People keep banging on about this missing his consecutive 150 games but I’m certain players genuinely aren’t arsed about stuff like this. It’s fans and pundits/media that make a song and dance about it.

I bet Kasper was/is indifferent to stuff like that.

People love a bloody drama don’t they. He’s leaving for a new challenge. Sad to see him go as he’s a club legend and always will be but I understand him wanting to move and think we can replace without too much hassle. Best of luck to him, he’s been immense. X

genuine question but are any keepers actually good on fm? swear they all just make howlers

Only Brazilian Wonderkids... had two, both been brilliant. So what I am saying, is we should send our scouts to Brazil in the hope my virtual reality game speaks some truth...

Every thread will always revert to Rodgers bashing given enough time it seems.  lol

Even I'm struggling to blame Rodgers for this one lol

I think how crazy the reactions are a testament to how loved Kasper is at the club. A lot of posts driven by emotion rather than logic which is understandable.

This is a load of rubbish considering it's all based on absolutely no substance.

I don't rate him as a source but willing to take anything tbh lol

As for the initial enquiries, what did they say Ric when you called Nantes?

If this Lafont is better and cheaper than Schmichael, why don't Nice buy him instead? It's not like they are unaware of him, they play in the same division.
