2 points absolutely shat down the drain because of Rodgers there. 

 

We were starting to tire and we only make 1 change to their 5 changes, and in doing so take off our most energetic player who is essential the system we currently play. Utterly ****ing brain dead! We lost all dominance we had in midfield from that point onwards against a much weaker side we had on the ropes. All we had to do today was bring home a 2-0 lead smoothly and they've made what was shaping up to be a positive performance and 3 points feel like a defeat.

Just not enough desire there, thought Fofana was particularly poor at the back before Amartey got sucked in twice, Ndidi was passive, and the passing further forward didn't quite work far too often. Think we'll get enough points not to be scrapping at the bottom, but that was no better than a lower mid table 90 minutes overall.

If it was Man City or Liverpool coming back from that then fair enough but from what I've seen Brentford were piss poor until just before they scored, we completely let them back into it.

 

I'm still Rodgers in for now but its about 75% his fault for the bizarre change and 25% the players for their application.

The guy gets out-thought so so often. It's gotten ****ing boring now, first game of a new season and it feels like we're exactly where we've been for the last 18 months. Players heads go down far too easily and it's not surprising given they're constantly undermined in the press by the manager.

 

Get him out before we limp out the cups.

I knew once they got their first it was going backwards and we would likely to give them another. It was a hot day, how come Brendan didn't use his subs properly. We lost the grip and never regained it. Real downer. A third would have killed them off, but we started slowing and gave them the initiative.
