LestaAl Posted 13 August 2022 Posted 13 August 2022 Brendan could have managed that better . But they are a better side and it would have probably not changed things so let’s move on ….. 3
Tazfox Posted 13 August 2022 Posted 13 August 2022 This new strategy of not bothering to defend or close anyone down is interesting. I'm not sure I'm a fan 1 1
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 August 2022 Posted 13 August 2022 Time for Dodgers to go. The club has become soul-less. His team selections are fookin rank. We can’t sign anyone, we can’t sell anyone. There’s no bounce about the club at all. Personally I’ve switched off. As soon as I saw we were coming out with three centre backs again today, I just didn’t bother. Time for a change because we’re in trouble this season, make no bones about it.
The_Rorab Posted 13 August 2022 Posted 13 August 2022 There absolutely are reasons to defend Rodgers; undoubtedly this season he's up against it with the lack of any transfers, the feeling of stagnation and regression emanating through the club, Barnes and Ricardo being injured in pre-season. However that absolutely doesn't excuse his persistence with a 5ATB formation that rarely seems to work for us, his ridiculous lack of subs against Brentford, the abject mentality of the squad, the utter inability to solve the set piece issues we've had, the treatment of certain players in the squad such as Iheanacho, the rep list goes on. I have some sympathy but he seems to continually make it worse beyond the issues out of his control. 3
ChrisFilter Posted 13 August 2022 Posted 13 August 2022 I have a different take from the catastrophisers. If Ward hadn't ****ed up, I think we could/would have won that. Much more intent after the changes. I know, if my gran had wheels she'd be a bike, but I expected a much weaker showing. 4
Pliskin Posted 13 August 2022 Posted 13 August 2022 Seeya Brendan. All I have to add. Time to **** off. 2
RowlattsFox Posted 13 August 2022 Posted 13 August 2022 The problem we have is we can't accept anything in isolation anymore. Yes arsenal are good currently, playing with confidence and they were clearly too good for us today. But it's the same mistakes over and over again. Defensively so poor and I don't see how it improves under the current manager.

Popular Post Webbo Posted 13 August 2022 Popular Post Posted 13 August 2022 That's a team that finished above us last season that's spent over 100 million in the closed season, losing shouldn't be a massive shock. It is what it is. 14 1
Popular Post Aus Fox Posted 13 August 2022 Popular Post Posted 13 August 2022 I don’t actually think we were that bad today, we played some good football at times and created chances. It shows against a quality opposition that we’ve got to much quality ourselves going forward to get dragged into a relegation fight. What we do need to do is cut out the silly errors - 3 of their goals today were the direct result of a player switching off. At this level that’s simply not good enough. Key moments in the game we let ourselves down, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as some are making out. 12
TeamRocket Posted 13 August 2022 Posted 13 August 2022 Never mind same old Leicester maybe October will start to look better I guess

turlo Posted 13 August 2022 Posted 13 August 2022 Rodgers will spin it that we should've had a pen and 2 of their goals were from silly mistakes so it's really a 3-2 win for us!
Fazzer 7 Posted 13 August 2022 Posted 13 August 2022 Right now it feels like we are a club in decline. Next up,Southampton. That will be a real test of character and where we’re heading this season.

Larry_LCFC Posted 13 August 2022 Posted 13 August 2022 You simply cannot defend that. Yes Arsenal are a good team with some brilliant quality and yes they were at home, but the goals we conceded were unacceptable. BR has plan A and that is possession sideball. We were found out about 2 and a half seasons ago and nothing has changed. We will never be the team he wants us to be and this cannot and will not ever work. Get rid of him instead of wasting another season. 2

That was always a fookin idiotic argument, peddled by the usual suspects on here. We could have Donnarumma in goal, with our woeful defence, we’d still concede for fun

foxy boxing Posted 13 August 2022 Posted 13 August 2022 Rodgers doesn't seem to have a clue and maybe already resigned to his fate. We have players like Fofana and Youri who openly want out. Its going to be a long tough season ahead. We can't defend at all. Foxestalk will be on permanent meltdown throughout the season.
st albans fox Posted 13 August 2022 Posted 13 August 2022 Love it on here Poster: I expected to lose today ….. rodgers out …… I expect the game could be the sky Saturday game at 8 so I can make my own judgment after seeing it - the number of opportunities we gave up sounded grim and I’ll take everything into account like the temp etc etc
