He literally did just this to move to us, the lads fiercely ambitious and wants to go to one of europes best clubs.

 

For us to be successful, this scenario will happen every 2-3 seasons.

Fofana might turn out to be a star but  for me, Morgan and Huth way better. Proper uncompromising defenders. Huth was free right? Both had fantastic attitudes and wanted to be here. I miss them.

He’s on a 5 year contract so he stays unless someone meets our valuation. That’s all there is to it.

I don't know but I'd imagine that this would be an official transfer request which is a rarity. 

 

Having a five-year contract on massive wages means his loyalty bonus will be hefty and you can see that being a sticking point for the club.

We have to stop judging transfers by how much we got for Maguire. That was an outlier, and I doubt he'd fetch 40m now.

Even if Wes was sold for as little as 60m no one would realistically claim it showed Harry was a better player.

He might well be one of the best CBs we have had but he will remembered for all the wrong reasons and I'll put him firmly in the same camp as Matt Mills for that.  Book the taxi and clear off.

The two things that annoy me from this summer is the media; I no longer know what's true and what is fiction or a twist on some 3rd hand information.

 

And that the transfer window is still open after the season has started. I'd love for all transfer business to have to be completed before the 1st prem game of the season. It's so disruptive once the season has started.

I don’t get this, he has a 5 year deal which will be taken in to consideration with our valuation. Either they pay that or he doesn’t go, we hold all the cards.

The Mercury says he’s made a “transfer request” in their headline - but when you read the story it’s just ripping off a Guardian story that says he’s told the club he wants to leave (not the same thing).

 

I doubt he has submitted a formal transfer request. It’s just the usual positioning to put pressure on the club.

 

Personally don’t think we should be selling unless we get over £100m.

 

He’s not worth that much, but we should be making Chelsea pay a premium to buy him at this stage of the window.
