surrifox Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 building blocks for our Championship challenge 2023/24 are all falling into place 2

A player should fall into one of 3 categories. 1) To come in and improve first XI 2) Young player signed with the potential to become a first XI in future 3) Old player who is cheap experienced cover for first XI. Signing squad players in their mid-late 20s is exactly how we got into this position. Well said. 1

ozvaldo Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 I love how Susan's spending majority share of the Fofana money on a chest of kweef chappel toys to frig her sen off, and so, in turn, I have to sign Josh ****ing Brownhill with the scraps she's left behind. **** this. I'm out. You can all cûnt off. 3
Sunbury Fox Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 (edited) As I said yesterday in another thread, we've gone back years as a club in one summer. From battling the likes of AC Milan for great young talents we're now being linked to players that are reserves at struggling Bundesliga clubs or bang average Championship players that the likes of Southampton and Bournemouth are chasing. The Board need to cut the crap about competing for Europe if signing the likes of Brownhill is now the level of our ambition. Plus I can't see players like Maddison wanting to stay in these circumstances so he and our other remaining prized assets will follow Fofana out of the door whilst we rummage in bargain buckets for replacements "to balance the books". It's a recipe for decline. I think the club owe us an explanation of what the hell is going on because things have apparently changed for the worst so quickly. Edited 30 August 2022 by Sunbury Fox 1

I responded 'haha' but you're right, the situation is not funny at all. We're a total ****ing mess.

It's like all of a sudden we have gone from being a provincial club punching way above our weight, to the new Man United. It's like we've gone from a white collar management job to sweeping the streets within a week. We are staring relegation in the face if not this season the season after. What on earth is happening?
foxy boxing Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 Is our interest in Brownhill showing how much we've gone downhill!.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 Josh Brownhill will take the club downhill
VLC86 Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 Exotic name from abroad where a team desperately wants rid- GERRIMIN A solid blue passport signing which will pave the way for the Dyche revolution- DISSOLVE THE CLUB. Make it make sense 1
TommyK Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 Actually think he's a decent player and a good character to have in the squad. We don't need him unless Youri/Mendy leaves through and hope we're concentrating on other positions first.
Claridge Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 Got a lot more fight about him than most at the club. Position we are in, he is exactly what we need
dsr-burnley Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 Not for sale, under long-term contract, and the reason he's scoring goals now is because he's playing at lower level. Not what you need. Keep off! 1

LeePhilpottsBaldSpot Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 (edited) This doesn't make sense to me, but at least we're lining people up in case one/some of our midfielders do leave. Feels entirely plausible Tielemans and/or Praet could move this week. Maybe he's better than I think - I've been underwhelmed by rumoured players who turn out to be great before. But feels like a downgrade on who we currently have... and they've taken us to bottom of the league! Edited 30 August 2022 by LeePhilpottsBaldSpot

The Mods should show some mercy and carry out some imaginary website maintenance. This transfer window is like spending a two week rainy caravan holiday with the Mother-in-law in Derby.
