Can we all agree to never share a post from @Ekremkonur. He knows nothing. He just searches twitter and as soon as he see’s a rumour he tweets it as his own.

This is where he got this link from, and it’s just Josh voicing his opinion that we should sign him haha

Seems to be closer to Wolves.

Yeah it seems like the link to us might have been to nudge Wolves along.

Yeah, decent centreback though.

On a free as the 2nd CB you sign, Denayer would be great.  He's better than Amartey by a long shot if nothing else.  We need two CBs and if we can get a decent one with 35 caps for Belgium with no transfer fees, that's good business.

Aerial Duels won last season:

Evans - 74.6%

Fofana - 65.7%

Soyuncu - 65.1%

Ndidi - 62.2%

Vestergaard - 59.3%

Amartey 54.2%

Denayer - 46.2%

He actually lost more aerial duels than he won last season

Denayer isn't actually all that bad.

But we have a fan base that have huge unrealistic expectations now, a player good enough for Wolves but not us.

Failed horribly in that dreadful Sunderland team of a few years ago. Another depressing link.

And who was the head of recruitment? Was it our old chap?

Yes. Congerton left Sunderland during the 16/17 season for Celtic, but he was Sporting Director when Denayer was signed in the summer of that year.
