I'll expect uproar next time I see someone call Allardyche big then 👍

I mean there's not exactly "uproar" that someone called Susan Whelan big is there? One person made a fairly calm comment and it rustled your jimmies and you set off on some little mens rights stand.

You seem to care far more about defending Sam Allardyce than anyone else actually did about Whelan.

And for the record, "Big" Sam is so known because he was a six foot four hard man centre half whose own autobiography is titled "Big Sam." So maybe, just maybe, it's a little bit different to making what is quite obviously an unnecessary (and more importantly likely unwelcome) derogatory comment about someone's weight.

Wasn't even fat shaming though was it? He called her big, which she is. Much as 'lil' Wes was small compared to big Wes.

When did stating fact become so unfashionable?

How is she big then?

He may well have been a tall centre half, but he gets called that now because he's a chubby bloke. It has caught on and now that's what everyone refers to him as, so of course it's used in his autobiography.

Don't know why I'm bothering. This isn't a men's rights stand, it's an anti-virtuous nonsense stand, this comment being but one from day to day life. And so what if it was anyway? Seems to have become an indefensible position.

Fat shaming in itself is a ridiculous concept. Why the protection of fat people in particular? What about ugly shaming? Why isn't that a thing? Just isn't one the things that gets virtue points yet. Who's thinking about Steve Cooper's feelings? Quick, somebody set up a gofundme.

Looks like this is done. Not to be a downer but its hard to get excited for a replacement for a player that we was told was not for sale. Especially when there are other areas of the team that are desperately in need of strengthening.

He looks like he'll be a good player and better than Big Dan so thats a positive.
