It was a very tough job to take on but you can see his influence on how the team is now playing.  I have a feeling that he may steer them to safety !!

a few people were saying that During the early parts of Martin O’Neill’s  reign here. I distinctly remember him getting booed off against Sheffield United I think it was..

Problem back then was something like 11 draws in a row or something like that and then the infamous Shef game.

After that though everything clicked, won away at Palace and Charlton if I remember correctly and we stormed into the play offs.

such a special time. The reason why I like O'Neill so much is he woke the club up without the significant investment that we have had recently

Odd is one word for it…

 

Arteta might’ve been a better comparison. Both #2s at high profile clubs, ex Prem players, young, who were probably well paid and comfortable. Like Arteta it’ll probably take time a few transfer windows to know if he’s got “it” or not.
