That was my thought. Knudsen coming in as Set Piece Coach could well have been with a view to getting the main Defensive Coach job, if Toure left. Although Bilbo's mate, I'm sure even he realises that Toure was a bit of a disaster, given our defensive record of late. Knudsen has really made an impact and fully deserves a promotion.

I'm sure he played some part in our good form when Rodgers joined but I do struggle to think what he has done in a positive light since then. 

Knudsen on the other hand has done exceptionally well. It's ironic that Toure was actually a defender too. 

 

Good luck to him at Wigan but I don't think we'll miss him much.

Good news for Kolo and the club. It seems he was pretty much a spare part here and that none of our young defenders have really improved says a lot about how good he is as a coach.

...people still have this obsession that Kolo is the defensive coach!!!

  Thef fact that a club is looking to bring him in probably points to him being an all together a universal coach.

A bit leftfield this one. Best of luck to him. I hope he's a great success.

 

Knudsen's arrival here has definitely coincided with an upturn in form. I hope we get in another good coach to have another fresh voice and keep the momentum going.
