Pleased to see how our lads reacted and went straight at there player, two wrongs don't make a right but you can't let tackles like that slide.

In situations like that the offending player should be banned as long as the opposite player is sidelined for. If it was accidental then no issue but when it is malicious like this, needs hefty punishment.

Yep think that's where I stand. There was nothing unlucky about this. This for me was comfortably worse than Fer Nino's challenge.

His challenge was a disgrace, but no need to send his Dad abuse on social media. Still pretty inconclusive as to whether he meant the challenge, but even if he did, the lad is only 16.

I agree with the whole social media and message thing but inconclusive?

Yes, it looks intentional, but it isn’t black and white is it. You cannot look at a video and wholeheartedly say that he meant to do it, it really isn’t as simple as that.

Complete and utter hindsight but there’s an argument to say he shouldn’t be playing down at a level where he’s clearly one of the best players on the pitch. Where opponents have to result to kicking him up in the air to get near him.

Doesn’t remotely excuse what’s a god awful challenge though. Glad Rodgers has called it out too.

Sickening. Not that we would do anything, but is there genuinely anything we can do to go after Wolves/Caden Voice?

Why would you do that? The tackle is unforgivable, criminal etc, there’s a good chance the lad will be distraught at what he’s done, his chance of a professional career will also be massively reduced. Like ffs grow up.

Poor Will 😞 Probably my FAVOURITE young academy player who I have had high hopes for breaking into the first team.

He’s confident, talented, tricky, fast and fun to watch. Generational talents like him only come along once in a while at clubs and we have one. Just mad at the player who commited this foul. He’s so frustrated he has to assault another fellow professional to get the ball. Maybe he should think about how he can be a better player and defend without causing harm huh? Or quit if he can’t handle the game.
I haven’t seen the whole match but I wonder if Alvez had been targeted for over aggressive tackling? If so I blame the ref for not protecting him. These kinda tackles always come along if you don’t watch out.

ACL reconstruction and season over is a major setback at such a young age. The kid will be back I’m sure of it but this was very unfair and totally avoidable.

Seriously though, imagine doing that to a fellow pro. He's going to get some serious abuse and to be fair, he deserves it.

Just put Will's career back a year, all because he was far too good for him. What an absolute ****.

The ball is on the floor and his stoods are ubove this knee....he has gone in to injure him plus I reckon if it was a honest challenge you don't walk straight off the pitch you go and check on the injured player

You should apply to work at LCFC, you'd get on like a house on fire!
