Where is the evidence showing that Voice has said he's done it on purpose?

Been mentioned by someone who gets a lot of academy based info in the U23’s thread.

It goes without saying that the challenge is absolutely disgusting.

I also wonder how the previous challenge may have affected it. Before he gets assaulted (let's be right, it's an assault), he's deliberately and lazily tripped with the sort of challenge that is often praised in order to stop an attack and take a yellow 'for the team'. As a result, Alves is off balance and stumbling just before he's crunched by Voice. Would this have made the effect of the challenge worse, i.e. Alves may  not have been as 'braced' for the challenge?

What makes it worse is ACLs are often career ending injuries at his age as when they need to heal and grow at the same time often causes problems

Plenty of players have over come them at that age and still gone on to be  world class.

That is a horrific challenge. Truly awful and so sad for the kid.

What worries me the most is the way he moves with the ball generally and how an ACL might affect his future movement.

It’s disgusting and the result has made me feel a bit sick tbh. Alves is the kind of player that all English fans should want to thrive. He’s a fabulous talent. It’s a criminal challenge for me, absolutely clear intent. Voice should be in a lot of trouble.

We having a very bad run with serious knee injuries but it is becoming a curse of modern footballers. They are not built to take impact and that is easily seen when you compare a modern footballer's legs with forty years ago. However there are exceptions and when people complain about Youri's lack of pace , check his injury record. He is built for tough tackling.

What are you going on about? Nobody is built to take an assault (let's call it as it is) like that.

Many players were assaulted by the likes of Tommy Smith and Vinny Jones in the past but lived to complete a match. In fact Steve Walsh put quite a few up in the air. Times change but unless we rule out any contact , reckless tackles will go in and skinny legs will be vulnerable. Modern players are definitely more injury prone.

Yes not saying its impossible, it's just medically more complicated at that age than it is once fully grown

I've never came across anything which suggests that, so can't really say.

That Wolves player is going to be a target now for his stupidity, there will be one or two players out there that will have watched that and will take him out, no one wants to play against a person like that.

feel so bad for the lad on the cusp of his big break, hopefully his age will aid his recovery.

Even Wolves fans are calling for their player to be given a long ban or outright thrown out of the club on their forum

He doesn’t have to say anything

If anyone watching that thinks that there is a smidgen of evidence that he was trying for the ball then they are cuckoo.

I know he doesn't need to, but i saw some comments stating he DID say it.

Need to get thugs like this out of the game. What an absolute cvnt. Don't give a shite if he's only 16, you should still know that's completely unacceptable. Deserves his legs snapping.

Yes, it looks intentional, but it isn’t black and white is it. You cannot look at a video and wholeheartedly say that he meant to do it, it really isn’t as simple as that.

You on drugs pal his foot was about 2 foot over the ball he didn't even play the ball

Absolutely no way he is playing the ball, he just wants to cause damage to the player
