He certainly ticks a lot of boxes. Has a Physical presence and Quick, Strong can go left or right with room for improvement.

 

Given his age he's exactly the type we should be tracking. Modest Fee and a modest Salary to start with.

I’m really perplexed at these comments about Rodgers knocking the talent out of his players.

 

Iheanacho has been the only attacker that has gotten the short end of the stick from Rodgers, but he wasn’t a Rodgers signing.

 

He’s given Ayoze every chance to succeed. Harvey Barnes really flourished when Rodgers took over, and we can’t let Barnes’ cold form make us forget he’s had plenty of long streaks where he’s been torrid.

 

Patson Daka has probably come up to be the #1 striker on our depth chart now.

 

And let’s not forget about how James Maddison has flourished over the past few seasons.

 

The only other attacking players Rodgers has signed have been loan wingers.

 

Brendan Rodgers isn’t gonna sign a right winger on a permanent deal with the intention to be a starter and not try to get the very best out of him.

 

If we’re going to use this thread to knock Rodgers, at least say something that’s actually reasonable, like he’s going to mismanage Outtara’s fitness and mess his knee up or something.

If true, at least we know we're willing to spend £15-20m on a RW. I've a list of wingers we could get for that, WE'RE IN BUSINESS.

If I'm honest Ric I was hoping for someone a bit less kick and run than this fella - he's a bit raw?

I've seen him play, he's a bit rough around the edges but he's one of those that could go either way.  £15-20 million is a gamble though, he loses the ball too much for my liking, and in the prem where it is much faster than ligue 1, it could be a problem.  I'd much prefer us to spend it on Enzo le Fée, but an RW is more important for us right now..

Well it signifies we're willing to spend that much on this particular player. We may not offer as much for others. Do you have a list we could get for around 2 million including salary?

Yes but also pressing the defensive line of the other team. Currently we don’t do that enough because barnes is pretty lazy and madders lacks the legs to do it consistently for 90 mins. Him and Daka pushing a back line would be really useful.

I tend to agree but I don't think we're going to get the finished article for that price, we seemingly aren't interested in Tsygankov so we will have to take a calculated risk but they are the exact signings that got us to ride the wave of success we've had for several years.

 

His pace and ability to shoot accurately off both feet will be a huge weapon and we need that out on the right, Barnes can do the same which not that many can and if we have that from both wings then it will leave the opposition so exposed. They would compliment each other and the lack of technical skill might work in our favour in that regard.

It's not as if he's had a period of poor form or injuries etc. Surely he can't be punished for not playing for a while because there's a war going on??

More a victim of playing in a poor league, lots of clubs wait for someone else to buy him and see how he goes.

Hasn't stopped many players being recruited from there, I think it's probably the league as you say and that he's Ukranian. The top overseas players in the Ukraine league are highly sought after.
