This is one I definitely don’t understand.

I can only presume his wage is deemed unnecessarily high for someone who isn’t getting enough game time to justify it..

Doubt West Brom are paying all his wages.

So we don’t have enough attacking options…. And we let two wingers leave and only bring one in. Can’t wait for an injury to Barnes or TeTe.

Good luck MA. Great professional. Loyal. Invincible. Always gives 100%. I hope we get a chance to say a proper goodbye to him. Free transfer in and we for sure have had value for money.

Although been a loyal servant and reliable cover Mark is no world beater. Good luck to him playing more often, we tend to over hype players on here like the Andy King saga.

Albrighton was instrumental in our Premier League winning season. He won the FA Cup with us. Wouldn't call it hype but we have an emotional attachment.

Unforgettable.

Legend.  One of the most popular players I've known but a good move for all concerned.

The wage bill trimmed slightly, Albrighton gets game time and is match fit should we need to recall him.

Good luck Marc,

Undervalued to the very end. I really hope letting him go out on loan doesn’t come back to haunt us. He’s never let us down when called upon, and not replacing him with a further attacking option could be a mistake.

Many of us valued him!

Let's not also forget that along with the PL, he was one of the main reasons, along with Huth, that we survived relegation in 2014/15. Our upturn coincided with Pearson changing shape and bringing Albrighton in as a RWB. Considering we're in a relegation battle again, his experience would've been invaluable to us. Brainless decision by the club.

Albrighton for me leaves on the same level as Mahrez, Kante, Fuchs, Morgan etc etc.  Absolute legend and we wouldn't have won the league without him.  Always put a shift in every single game.  Yes his game is on the decline like most players that age.  But what he contributed to us over the last 8 years or so is monumental.

Legend status, surpasses Fuchs and Kante in my opinion for what he helped us achieve on the pitch. Relegation battle-Premier League Champion-FA Cup. Only Morgan can boast that from the list, which omits Kasper unfairly perhaps. But hey, this sort of talk is all subjective and I respect everyone having different opinions. Nonetheless, you’ll struggle to find many Leicester fans deviating from their love of Albrighton.

He's not the same player he was in 2014/15. Just read his statement as i think that tells you all you need to know. He is in the final few years of his career and doesn't want to sit on the bench. With Tete here he is 4th choice behind Tete, Preat and pushing Madders out wide. He wants his family to come see him play football and to be proud of his final years in the game. Not a Brainless decision at all, its one that is respecting the player.

He may not be the same player physically, but in experience terms he's been there seen it all. It's not the team with the best players that always avoids relegation, it's normally the team with the most experienced players who know what it takes. Something Albrighton himself spoke about just a few days ago, when he said that the team knew it was in a relegation fight, but he'd been in this position before and he knew what it took. He was talking like he was relishing the fight. I'm sure if Albrighton was desperate to be a starter, then the club would've allowed him to leave in the summer for free. The end of season is only 4 months away after all, not long to wait.

Massively respect his decision, wish him all the best as he's never let the club down. Fantastic servant.

Just wish we had bought another body in to replace
