I think there may be a good few thousand plus who respect him for 'trying'.

Don't get me wrong, I do respect him for it, love him even!

But I was told that phrase a long time ago at work and it's true, try a hard as you can but if you're end product isn't what is expected of you then sorry you're out.

I'm sure everyone loves nige, Morgan, Fuchs, Kasper ect ect but you have to recognise when to draw a line under it and call it a day. Because it gets to a point where that respect get outweighed by bad performances. Allntou have to do is look on here at some of the comments against vardy this season, there's not a single person who doesn't love him but there's only so much you can take before it sours

Sad day to see him go, still think he was more than good enough as back up but he’s earned the right to move on if he feels he wants more from his career.

Brilliant signing and servant for Leicester but if anyone has earned the right to go play regular football it's Albrighton.

He's still got something to give. A model pro. Has started to dive into challenges recently but gives his all. I would look to move him on in the summer after his loan .

I can't get my head round this, it just seems a baffling decision. We needed the cover and we needed the experienced head. Can only think they're under some delusion about the precariousness of our situation. And its not as if he wasn't contributing, as someone said he played nearly 400 minutes in January and he bloody scored in our last league game!

So much time for the bloke, very effective player on his day and a key thread through the golden era. All the best to him, its our loss.

Gutted not only as a City fan but also a fellow Tamworth native to see a genuine club legend leave but this really does make sense for all parties.
When you read he has only started one league game this season and that’s without Tete and with all the injuries we’ve had it puts it into perspective. He’s probably only got 2 to 3 years left in the game and he wants to play regular football at a decent level.

Good luck Marc and hope that we haven’t seen the last of you in a Leicester shirt

So this leaves Amartey and Vardy as the only title winners left in the squad. I think this is a bad decision.

Albrighton was always dependable and often no worse than our other options on the wing.

But since Rodgers came in, I feel he's not well suited to the style of football we're trying to play.

Bit of an anticlimactic way for him to leave as well. Hope he'll be back to get a proper farewell if he decides to go permanently in the summer.

It says he wanted more first team football.

I’m a bit torn on this one. If you put to one side the sentimental feelings about Marc, I think the reality is that he’s not Premier League quality anymore.

That said, it does fee like it leaves us a little short of wide options should we pick up an injury or 2, but if we can recall him then that’s not an issue.

And I want to shag Margot Robbie but life's a shithouse. He's an employee, we're struggling and we needed hands on deck. He'll still be 33 in the summer and he could have gone with our blessing then.

I don't blame him at all but it's a highly questionable decision yet again from the club.

Sharkey! Unbelievable player for us.. scored some vital and historic goals, especially in Europe. Probably time to think about moving on, but a City hero always. I hope, ultimately, he gets a proper farewell and is celebrated as he deserves to be.

I would hazard a guess that with Vestergaards loan falling through we needed to free up the wage bill to bring in these new players, and it had to be done quickly. Marc doesn’t have to move house, and it could be done quickly.

I can’t see any other reason for the move, and it happened so late in the day with very little rumour attached to it.

He's taken one for the team (to repurpose the cliche)

I reckon it's been about balancing the books and the club has said to him 'how do fancy 6 months of regular football and you can come back in the summer?' I guess we were hoping/assuming one of Veste or Cags would go out.

What's the situation of Tete is injured? He's still on the wages book so I can't see a recall option is a viable if my above guess is close to the truth.  I guess Praet's the back up option, could be worse.

We’ll miss him when we need him. Always reliable to put a shift in and another mature head lost from the changing room. Not the man he was, but better than no Mark. Still, he wants regular game time and nobody can begrudge him that.

If he wants to play regular football then he was more than earned the right to do so. He would always have a part to play here, he always brings energy off the bench or even when he starts. But if you've only got so many years left, it's understandable if you want to play as much as possible before it's over.

Bad for us, the depth and experience would be vital in a relegation scrap, but best of luck to a legend.

He deserves to be able to play more minutes. The sensible thing would’ve been to keep him as a second option, but I assume this deal could have been put on ice if Vesty had f**ked off. We needed to reduce numbers some how.

At half time v Fulham he was our best player. Had hardly kicked a ball this season and embarrassed some of his team mates.

Wrong decision, still can make a difference when used as a sub.

In the old days he would have a testimonial when he does leave and would be worth it. What a servant he has been to the club, best free signing we have ever had.

It's quite nice to see a footballer that wants to play football and actually earn the money he makes. It's actually quite refreshing.

He isn't going to play every week and he obviously isn't comfortable sitting as a back up.

Fair play to him and I wish him well.
