From the press conference, looks like Nacho might get a start. He'd be the only change i would make from the Villa game, he offered a threat that Daka & Vardy currently can't. Good to have Ndidi back to fitness but i wouldn't want him anywhere near the starting 11 currently.

Tete looked good as well, we should start him.

I might be inclined to start Kristiansen and Souttar as well

This extreme hatred of Spurs is so boring. Especially for those who are basing it on us winning the league and that season. I understand those who have memories of 1999 cup final, but it’s almost like our fan base has a lack of imagination and is jumping on a social media trending topic. It doesn’t reflect well on us. ‘Anyone but Spurs’ ‘Harry Kane has an Audi Cup don’t you know’ etc

We won the league, they didn’t.
I don’t like them, but they’re a huge club by default of their location unfortunately and have an impressive history if you go further back.

...so has United, and I cannot stand them!!!

Leeds are a big club, can’t say I actively dislike them at this stage. But I hope they go down.

...there arrogance back in the day, might have aroused some kind of animosity, but I liked Alan Clarke and I was a big Paul Reaney fan!!!

Good point that one. Even more worryingly i watched the game. Perhaps punditry, or any correspondence of any importance isn't my fortay.

To be fair, Nacho only scored 1 and assisted 2, so can see how you might have forgotten his contribution.....

Will be a better atmosphere than usual. East and West stands might join in with one of the only two songs they do sing.

Tbf, we can only ****ing hear you when you sing those 2. Either can't hear you or your songs were written in union fs circle jerk and we didn't get the song sheet.

As someone who doesn’t sit near SK1, I didn’t believe that there were people who had such vitriol and hatred stored for UFS (as in reports that had been posted on here). This is evidence on the contrary.

A lot of older heads don't like it but teams like Leeds, Villa, Florist etc WERE big clubs but not anymore

I'll get no end of flak for this

What are you talking about? Seeing things other cannot is precisely what makes a great pundit.  :D

I know he's not had the best form but I feel like Ndidi might well be needed in this. Kane will find a lot of space in front of our defence without a proper defensive minded player there.

The best team I've seen play a false 9 433 is Liverpool a couple of years ago. It feels like we have the players to do something similar to them.(without necessarily reaching the same heights)

With Soutar behind him, i would hope that the passing problems he has will be compensated for.

I hate Spurs, the title win season didn't make much difference to that as I did prior.

As much as some of the glory supporters ManU/Chelsea/now Man City etc can be insufferable, at least the club they 'support' in some ways merit that arrogance in terms of achievement. In my lifetime, Spurs never have so it just annoys me they consider themselves part of the top table when they've barely eaten a meal at it.

Harry Kane is a fantastic player, but he annoys me mainly because of the media treatment - can do no wrong. Other than a few weeks a couple of years ago, the media ignored his 'knock a player mid air off balance so they fall awkwardly' tactic that he would do pretty much every game. Its like how the media ignored the fact Steven Gerrard was a horrible diver, because he was English.

Anyway, think we will do well to get anything out of this, just hope we play on the front foot.

Really like Hojberg, think he will bully us.

Rivalry starts somewhere, we are a team with very few grudge fixtures. Some might not be bothered by that, its certainly not hugely essential but if it's occurred because of certain circumstances then I don't see what the problem is.

The atmosphere following Leicester is passive enough at the best of times, I'm not quite so sure why our fanbase is so anti us having any needle with other teams.

On the back of the cup final in 1999 and then them thinking they could apply pressure on us and we'd crumble down the stretch when we won the league, I think its been a passionate battle and personally I fcukin hate them.

Fair enough. Personally don’t care for them. Think it’s driven by social media and the ageing joke of them not winning anything. At least you mention the 1999 cup final, a number of problems occurred off the field that day. My problem is that I’ve seen more hatred for Spurs than I have for our more traditional rivals. Nonetheless, you mitigate this point by arguing that rivalries have to start somewhere, this is true. If this translates into a good atmosphere tomorrow, then great. I just don’t understand why our fan base is so timid against others. For instance, Manchester City, who were part of the reason we missed out on champions league (yes Rodgers was partly responsible), and constantly chant the Ranieri song!

I don’t hate spurs, because we won the title and it contributed to their story of not winning anything and ultimately the narrative of their mass underachievement. I just dislike them.

Leeds and Villa are clearly a tier above Forest.

Villa have the biggest fanbase in the midlands by a distance and Leeds have massive support nationwide.

Both could sell out 50k+ stafiums

Forest are a complete irrelevance however

Forest were never a big club.

They were just lucky enough to have a great manager (and assistant) for a few years.

I had no issues with spuds until our title winning season when most London based pundits were hell bent on that season being spuds to lose despite leicester being on top for the majority of the season. Sure they were the only ones that had a chance to catch up but that’s what a title race is.

the difference is spuds were expected to win as they were more fancied, had never won it for so long despite trying every season and had the big name players.

nobody gave us a chance in hell but boy did we win the whole world over. There is still bitterness we won the title in Tottenham and because of that I will never like them. Give credit where credit is due!

probably why they always turn up to play against us lol. Well I hope we give them an unexpected spanking tomorrow. We are at home let’s make it a fortress. :chant::scarf:

Who are them….just fans using & trading banter…All around the country there are

assholes, not so big assholes,, bias, not so bias, football. Lovers of the moment..

Forums version of the “good the bad & the ugly”

I have spurs/Arsenal and others as friends, most STS, we obviously crossed swords right until the Chelsea result, to a man/woman they were up front & enjoyed watching our moment, and obviously showered a lot of credit, no sour grapes…but the playfull banter went on.

Football is tribal, but most fans I cross, will like all British humour, take the piss, but understood that moment in time…Spurs/Arsenal/WBA/Chelsea’s fans alike…

From any group there the retroactively spiteful fans across all Terraces..

Tomorrow we hang their coquerel to the cross, & see their children end up in Sundays frying pan…double egg & bacon after we destroy the crowing little fart..
