I’m finding it difficult to follow your thoughts, but If your arguing that titles/cups/league positions are the only objective test of a club’s stature/success, then I agree. I appreciate the ‘back up’ stuff is the essence of all sport, but it’s subjective and unquantifiable.

In terms of achievement, do you believe our PL win is comparable to our league cup win?

I don’t compare,I enjoy the moment…at the time lifting the league cup was more important..simply that’s the the exact  moment of celebration.nothing is worth belittling in sport..The title year as gone….We finish top 10 or above this season, best achievement for awhile…

hope Brendan don’t go cautious jack in this. 5 at the back, drops Nacho for Daka, two defensive midfielders.

We need to fight, have intensity, aggression, I’m sounding like Brendan.!

Speaking to a Spurs fan tonight, with the European game coming up they expect the likes of Danjuma and Richarlison to feature tomorrow. On top of their suspension and injuries it’s still a strong side even if one or two others are rested and you wouldn’t put it past Richarlison to be the headline maker or Son to come off the bench and….well you remember

I genuinely have never met a spurs fan I liked . Do the maffs

Same. I know a few Arsenal and Chelsea fans and they seem fine. The Spurs fans I have known have all been unbearable.

I’ve known so decent Spurs fans. It’s the same with every club. The loudest are the most insufferable but there are decent people that support each club. just the annoying ones shout loudest. It’ll be the same with our club as well.

Fair enough. But the constant "why hate Spurs" bollocks in this thread is embarrassing. Can I add a limping Harry Kane getting into the England team over a magnificent Jamie Vardy on fire in the WC semi final to that fire.

You don't have to understand why people hate Spurs, just accept that they do.

Hate is simply a personal reaction to something, an emotion, it needn't be cause to call the police (there are other names for the kind of hatred; racism, misogyny, homophobia etc) I think it completely normal that football fans will 'hate' another team and/or irs fans. It's not compulsory of course but it goes with the territory. People hate all kinds of things; baked beans, strawberry ice cream, double parking, Harry Stiles (I'll bet someone chuckled at that, and thought 'quite right too') Hatred exists within most people, often for reasons the person themselves won't understand. Admittedly, it's what they do with that can cause problems but I think for the most part hatred is a quite normal human emotion. Don't make into something it's not.

If the word offends then read it as 'I don't like' with a bit of extra zest.

For the first time this season I think I'm actually looking forward to a home game. Fans have needed the signings as much as the team itself just for a bit of fresh belief

All that will be ruined if Nacho is dropped for Daka and we've racked up 80% possession in our own half in the first ten minutes. Fast start & tempo required.

Whilst conte does like to allow the opposition to have the ball and break on them, we aren’t good enough to do that !

last season, hojberg was a monster in the game. The end of it screwed up my memory of what went before but thinking back, he was instrumental at both end of the pitch for them - maybe with kulesevski on the right he doesn’t need to get forward as much now but that did surprise me that evening …….in context of course …….

Hope my new found anticipation and hope isnt obliterated as usual within the first 15 minutes with a couple of Kane goals!!

This is the most important thing for me. Regardless who is on the pitch. Press from the front and high up. Win the ball back in their half and create the pressure from that.

Time for Rodgers to prove he isn't the absolutely jebbend we all think he is. Can't hide behind the no new players excuse anymore. No excuse not to beat Spurs. Most overrated team in the league.
