The noise around there being problems is growing, there's finally more of this in the media rather than just being fan based.

Nice of Gary to actually recognise the problems that many of us have been talking about for 3/4 years. A lot better than his self depreciating “it’s usual service for Leicester” crap he was spewing out in 22/23

That’s Lineker being frozen out of the KP for the next decade again then

What's Andrew Neville's role at the club? Job title is Director of Football Operations and has also been at the club for decades. He was the one sat with Ruud at the Brentford game yet never gets any attention or scrutiny?

Our only hope of staying up is replacing this guy today.

How can he be allowed to remain in charge of handing out contracts and overseeing recruitment is beyond me.

Look at the garbage (on extended contracts) we have as backup.

If Top doesn't replace him before the transfer window we are done.

A lot of paperwork. Effectively like a Secretary for registrations, rules, etc etc

Some of his handy work fully on show today when you think we’ve got injuries

Ward in goal, shouldn’t be here.

Vestergaard, shouldn’t be here with a new lengthy contract

Coady, overpaid, no value

Choudhury, un-necessary contract extension

Skipp, paid far too much for a 6/10 player

Yep, ending up with this squad is incredible.

What ever the cost just bring back ex scout Steve Walsh from Charlotte FC

I would either bring him back with no expense spared or the guy Claudio got us, spending big on these guys will pay back with better signings.

Whoever currently does negotiations needs to go, as we keep over paying salaries and overly short contracts.

The better way to go is lower salaries combined with longer contracts for younger players.

Once again we approach a transfer window which is critical for the Club, both in terms of its league status and financial performance (PREM survival, avoiding EFL penalties )and hoping beyond hope (ignoring the mistakes)that Rudders & the recruitment team has lined up a few quality recruits, we are ready to press the button and complete deals.

I still don’t think Rudders has the attributes we need to be successful long term but here’s hoping he proves me wrong this window and we recruit some first XI players who are ready to start / improve us.

It's amazing how stale it is behind the scenes.

The only movement in key positions at the club are through people leaving. We never have any fallings out that mean people move on, we don't create new depts or bring in new roles entirely. Rudkin has been in the position for what 10 years now and since then his responsibilities have only ever expanded. Even if he was any good (he's not) he's massively overstretched.

Director of Football

Academy Manager

Some responsibility at KP Racing

Top is too close to him personally to manage him objectively. I missed this Sam Wallace article at the time but he's consistently said Rudkin runs the football ops.

2018: Paying £12m for a back up keeper

2021: New 4 year deal

2023: Almost single handedly relegates us, pound-for-pound worst keeper in our history

2024: Still f ucking here and playing

Rudkin masterclass all the way through.

Has to rank high as pound for pound one of our worse signing!

Got to be for me. Consider the transfer fee and then the big wages he's probably on. Football is a team game but I do think if we didn't end up with Ward in goal two seasons ago we wouldn't have gone down.
