Kelechi HAS to play, and has to play in every game until the end of the season. We need to score as many goals as possible because we’ll be conceding 2 in every game.

Totally agree. He seems to score/assist more often than not.

He must play.

Think we can say this is must win.  Can't see it though.

Usually don’t like the phrase “must win”, but I really think this is.

Lose (or don’t win) this with Man City next  and I think we’ll be cast adrift with too much to do.

I predicted months ago that it would be Forest, Bournemouth and Southampton to go, but it would be just so Leicester to be the reason that prediction fails and even more Leicester if it is Forest that benefit at our expense

Iversen

Faes Souttar Soyuncu

Ricardo Mendy Ndidi Kristiansen

Maddison

Nacho Barnes

flexi 442 / 343 formation

We will lose because our confidence and options are shot to pieces.

I am trading marking the headline and book title 'From Top to Bottom' for the post season autopsy on how we went from FA Cup winners and European Semi finalists to the worst team in the league in less than 12 months.

If a certain team get promoted from league 1 and the owners sell up on our relegation then you could do ‘from Top to Bolton’ ………..

Yeah could go with that.  My 2pence for what it's worth would be:

                                         Iverson

Souttar  Faes Kristensen

          Mendy Praet

KDH/Ricardo                          Youri

              Maddison

           Kels

                        Daka

This would get us to safety I feel. DO NOT play NDIDI not made for the pressure we are in.  He is static like Bosquets (Brendan's fault) but not as intelligent/sharpe.

We need to play 2 strikers but then we can't have Barnes in there.

Iheanacho slightly from the right is the only way we can do it with Maddison central, they can maybe alternate.

**** knows who plays centre midfield in this one, they are all shit.

It will take a while to shake out the engrained Rodgerisms  🤣.

We need to attack Bournemouth from the start for a win. I'd go for 433.
Replace Castagne with Ricardo.
Ndidi, Mendy with Maddison centre behind Barnes, Iheanacho and Tete with the latter just running at their defence. If he can't do that against Bournemouth then that's his last chance, hes not for us, give him until halftime to impress.

I like the formations being mentioned on here. Upon reflection what we really missed yesterday was not subbing quicker. Ricardo and Vardy needed to be replaced sooner.

Tete & praet should also have come on. N’didi should have been taken off & Cags brought in. Just for the last 15 min ffs. We’ve gotta look like we’re throwing the kitchen sink in like thomas Frank does.

if these are all like cup finals we have to play like cup finals. Play to the death!

someone/anyone has to be visibly screaming at any player that’s starting to tire. the signs were there of KDH. The signs were there of N’didi. The signs were there of Vardy. Stowell & Sadler have one more game to redeem themselves! Play better but do the basics ffs!

So fed up with predicament we find ourselves. The signs have been so clear yet we have driven at high speed to the cliff edge. Would not be surprised to see a 1-1 draw that won't help at all.

I know, he did do okay yesterday until the monumental screw up, which makes this season worse as it’s clear he hasn’t been putting in a shift, then there’s Maddison who I think was throwing a mardy last night

Should smash these guys

They keep picking up points to be fair to them.

Beat Fulham last weekend, beat Liverpool, drew with Newcastle, won at Wolves.

Setting up to 'contain', as Sadler said was the plan against Villa, surely can't be the approach on Saturday. We need to get at  Bournemouth from the off.

I know we've never never really mastered 3 at the back but given the lack of a viable wide right option, the lack of fit CMs, the need to get 2 up top and Maddison in a central position, I would go for a 3412 along the following lines:

Iversen

Castagne

Souttar

Faes

Ricardo

Praet

Mendy

VK

Maddison

Barnes

Nacho

It gets our strongest players in the best positions, only thing I'd say is explain the plan today and leave it to Castagne/Cags/Amartey to fight over the 3rd CB role, tell the other 10 they are in the team. Whoever performs best, shows most desire in training.

Cags in for Castagne and I'm happy with this.

I'd even take big Dan over Castagne at the moment

Well I'm missing this match as I'm away. The last time I missed a home match we beat Leeds.

I've only seen us win 2 league matches this season. Maybe I'm the problem.

Sad to say but I’m looking forward to not having KDH in the side

Making KDH undroppable was one of Brendan’s many mistakes. I think he’d be a solid impact sub at this level, coming off the bench against tired legs.

He should have been in rotation with Tielemans and Maddison, but instead we try to shoehorn all of them into the first 11.
