Pep didn't lift a finger to stop Arteta leaving. Enzo is The One.

They don't try very hard to keep their academy players either. They know the juggernaut keeps going and they get big fees for them on reputation alone.

It just says he’d like him to stay, doesn’t say they’ll stand in his way.

All this talk about taking loan players and an employee from Man City has potential to drag us into what will be a nasty court case brought by the Premier League. Do we really want to get involved with a club under serious investigation for rule breaking?

I'm not sure the PL have much proof despite the 115 charges.

How on earth would getting a couple of loan players from Man City implicate us in their previous financial irregularities?

They operate on a totally different level to anyone else. Leroy Sane IMO was a contender for the best winger in the league but not good enough for Pep, and he was proven right. Same with Sterling, Jesus, Zinchenko, etc. And yet all of these players can easily be star turns elsewhere.

UEFA did but it was time barred at the CAS hearing allowing Man City to get off on a technicallity. That resulted in their 2-year ban from euro competitions being over turned. This has got potential to run and run.
