He's_Magic Posted 22 May 2023 Posted 22 May 2023 On the plus side... Eddie Howe wouldn't have prepared his team to face that. Not that it will make any different mind.
jmono84 Posted 22 May 2023 Posted 22 May 2023 Happy to see 3 at the back and 2 up top but how does Tielemans start again! Also why not Mendy for Ndidi 1

pmcla26 Posted 22 May 2023 Posted 22 May 2023 Gonna need Iheanacho magic, 2015/16 Vardy, Tielemans wonder striker and Souttar header from a corner to give us half a chance against these.
South Shire Fox Posted 22 May 2023 Posted 22 May 2023 Brylcreem really does have a thing for that carthorse Ndidi doesnt he, jesus christ just let 2020 go man 1
EnderbyFox Posted 22 May 2023 Posted 22 May 2023 Just knew his tactics would be as lacking in inspiration as his hair cut, bloody typical

What have Youri and Soumare shown the last few games to warrant him to keep trying them? They've done **** all positive in all this time. The guys plan is to take us down I'm now 100% sure. Absolutely mental - you couldn’t make it up

In the past if I've missed a game, including the odd time I've forgotten we're playing, we've won! I tried doing that the other week when we played Fulham, didnt go as expected 1
beepee1984 Posted 22 May 2023 Posted 22 May 2023 Team Selection Thinking - Dean Smith's Master Plan Notepad Keep the worst midfield 3 we have seen all season - tick Devoid the team of any creativity, don't want them getting any ideas - tick Lets get Souttar - Faes - Castagne play offside with each player taking it in turns playing 5 yards further back - tick Pick the oldest striker I can find - tick Play the worst goalkeeper I can find - wait Ward refuses to play he is already shaking, oh well maybe this plan will work without him
Dames Posted 22 May 2023 Posted 22 May 2023 Not learned a thing. That midfield will get outrun and outworked. We are as good as down now. 1
oadby.fox Posted 22 May 2023 Posted 22 May 2023 Sudden exclusion and inclusion of Souttar is a bit odd. That midfield is horrendous. Mendy or KDH has to be in there for me, or perhaps both ideally with Tielemans taking the other spot. Also would’ve been tempted to start Kelechi if fit enough, perhaps in place of Maddison or move Maddison into a deeper role. 1
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 22 May 2023 Posted 22 May 2023 I approve of the 3 CB strategy. But not the chosen LWB or midfield trio. 1
cityfanlee23 Posted 22 May 2023 Posted 22 May 2023 Souttar in midfield sounds wild but hey, John Stones has been a revelation since being able to drift forward into the midfield at City so who knows!
AS78UK Posted 22 May 2023 Posted 22 May 2023 Soutter I 100% understand, need someone at the back that can actually defend against corners. Glad Nacho returns! But what the heck is that midfield....?
Silva Fox Posted 22 May 2023 Posted 22 May 2023 I think it's fair to say my expectations couldn't be much lower than they are right now
Babylon Posted 22 May 2023 Posted 22 May 2023 It doesn’t matter what team we put out, they’ve all been shite. So I don’t really care who is or isn’t in the 11 at this point. 3
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 May 2023 Posted 22 May 2023 We wanted Dean Smith the softly spoken, underwhelming but average football manager and we've got bloody Deano the banter merchant instead
