It's going to be tough, it's probably the strongest that the championship has ever been

I expect to see much, much better football from us

If I can see a plan in place and it's appears we are building towards something, I will be happy

The early signs indicate we’re taking a different approach.

At the moment we are still a few players short, however we have nearly 60 days until the transfer window “slams shut”.

I’ve no doubt we’ll see more in / out yet during this time.

The expectations and expectations are we win this league and get back out at the first attempt.

We still have an entire host of players and half a squad that was just dysfunctional last season. Maresca breeds the confidence back into them and allows them to express themselves, we should be aiming for 90+ points.

Being totally honest, i expect to comfortbly win this league. A club with our resources should be looking at 100 + points. Being 'in the fight' for top 6 would be an absoulte joke and i would hope fans would have higher standards than that.

So much for my expectation:

2. To put a stop to the sense of entitlement and arrogance of so many of our fans, and maybe even the club itself; to bring everybody back down to earth.

I don't think I'm prone to over optimism but after the 2 signings we made and the new manager we've appointed, I feel we are going to absolutely piss this league and get 80 - 90 points.

Feels like the club have finally got their heads screwed on and we're a side who should be pushing for top 10 in the PL. I think we will in another couple of seasons.

I don't mind a decent-average start, then we click into gear and piss this league after October, then carry that into the premiership.  Time to shake off that Brendan saggy tea bag mindset and start dusting ourselves off.  Start the fight to get back to what we are in the KP era, spirited fighters and winners.

The new boss is perhaps a bit more realistic

To be honest, because I know quite well the idea, I like to talk about the process to get promoted. If it’s this year, hopefully, if not, it’s important to build for the next three or five years.

If we go up having absolutely smashed the league, it will have done far, far more for confidence and momentum than scraping 17th by virtue of a late Bournemouth equaliser would have done.

The rebuild can now be done more cheaply and the team will have a chance to gel while actually winning some games.

I want the championship record points total. Go undefeated throughout the league season, and win the league cup so Vardy can complete the domestic set

Not too unrealistic

I was getting nervous about the lack of transfer activity prior to the emergence of the Winks/Coady transfer rumours. Even getting Enzo Maresca took longer than it should have done, but maybe I need to accept that City's wheeling and dealings are becoming characteristically slow, drawn-out affairs. And this came back to haunt us when we are scrambling around for last-minute deals and panic buys.

Moving to the present day, the movement on transfers is still typically slow. And we will need at least another 3 to 4 transfers to make this window, a good one. The two new transfers have eased worries but we need to keep the finger on the pulse and keep faces coming in. Fans are a lot less tolerant of the board these days, and becoming increasingly frustrating with the club's lack of direction and strategy, with Rudkin still seemingly bulletproof. All this in mind, a statement is needed, otherwise I can't see us immediately returning to the Premier League next season.

It's way too early for predictions. We haven't even put a Squad together yet never mind a Team.

How many predicted Relegation last season, very few I'd guess.

The one thing I will say is that I believe we've made a good choice as Manager, With a lot of upside if he can deliver.

He's going to need time to Build a Team and that's after he puts a squad together. He's going to have avery busy Month.

The time to ask the question is mid or late August.

We have this transfer saga every year as do supporters of nearly every other club, it's called realism.

Nothing was ever realistically going to happen much before the start of July albeit I'm sure there were many balls up in the air behind the scenes. Unless you're money bags Manchester City or Chelsea who can afford to splash a load of dosh, other have to marry up incoming and outgoings, dealing with foreign clubs like Juventus doesn’t help and neither does the fact that most of what you're trying to get rid of is dross that nobody really wants  ... then there's FFP. Realistically, I think we've actually done more at this stage than I would have expected. It turns out that Maddison for example, was probably only really wanted by one club because Newcastle's real prize was Tonoli, an infinitely better prize that clear handbag boy Maddison.

Patience, though frustrating, it will have to be. These are multi million pounds complex deals that can change in an instant. Even at Championship level.

Regarding expectations, I know the BBC Leicester guys get a lot of stick on here, but I can't recommend yesterday's When You're Smiling podcast enough. The episode titled "The Enzo Era Officially Begins".

You can skip the initial discussion about the press conference, Winks and Coady, I recommend it because of an interview with Spanish journalist Guilliam Balagué, who has followed Man City very closely and knows Enzo personally.

This starts at 15m45s.

Of particular note is a section where Balagué interrupts Owynn to ask his own question:

"You talk about expectations to play like Man City (...), but do you think people are actually expecting the same kind of superiority, style, consistency of delivery that Man City do?"

After Owynn's response that amounted to saying that we hope to see elements of a Pep team emerge in our play, he then says:

"Let me tell you that they are going to be let down, because you do not have £100m players."

The interview continues on as they discuss the slow nature of trying to create a team that can play in that style, how it took Pep time to create a Man City team that preformed how he wanted, how players like Graelish come in and take over a year to adapt and learn this new way of playing, and Enzo's time in Parmo.
