You know, it wasn’t pretty, sometimes it was frustrating, but we got the points. So many things nearly clicked. If Preat wasn’t a Prat he could have had two. They could have scored a few.

Tough game which we would have bottled last year, but we look like a team again fighting for someone they believe in. Didn’t really ever see that under Rodgers.

It will improve and there will be setbacks. But it’s on folks, it’s fuching on. The joy of football is back.

Iheanacho had a frustrating game but i liked how he dropped deeper to collect the ball and looked good on the turn. With a right winger who tucks in to become a stiker in those scenarios we could be lethal

Ugly, sh!thoused win.

Still worth three points!

Faes and Winks stood out for me.

Iheanacho seemed to be pressing, not letting things flow.

...Nacho seems to be playing and trying to prove something!!!

He has got to be looking to get the ball wide and bring other players in on a break instead of going it alone. This was a game where he should think as a #10 and link the play instead of holding on to the ball and allowing good situations to go by.

The half time grown men wetting the bed in the match thread don’t deserve that win. Bloody embarrassing.

Thats a promotion win, not at your best but still find a way.

Not only has Enzo instilled a new style of football he’s also given us a massive set of bollocks which I didn’t think was possible with this group. What a man!

Still desperate for a RW, centre mid and probably another striker though.

Spot on 👏👏

Pleased we grounded it out.

We know where the weaknesses are (out wide and attacking midfield especially), and there is still significant turnover in playing staff to come before the end of the window.

When the manager has got the players he wants in those positions, wow, this could be really exciting.

Even now, we still look a very decent side at this level. And that’s a credit to how good the coaching has been.

Definitely need some grit in the team, getting bullied far too easily. Also need at least two creative midfielders and another forward.

If we can shift out a couple of players at the back a decent centre back too

Not the best at keeping hold of the ball and looking after it and using it wisely when we have possession again, like vs Coventry..  but its 6 points from 6 In a vastly unsettled squad, decent start now iv decided to be realistic and not expect 4 or 5 nil every week.

Any news of any new signings from Enzo’s post match presser?

Probably hasnt done the post match yet, but I expect it will be deadline day as what is usual for our club.

It's imperative that everyone involved in moving players on in any capacity to enable funds to be brought in, then subsequently use that for new players, actually, actually does their job..

Faes way too good for this level, cigar on.

If this is the results we can produce when we’re only going to get better both tactically and with personnel… bring it on.

Do Sky do extended highlights?

Probably not, the carabao cup game the sky highlights were a joke, but we did decent highlights on our YT site, so that might be the place to look.

I will take that. At this stage of our transition scrappy wins are wins. Whilst we continue to build we’re putting points on the board!

I won’t worry too much about the performances yet, we all know we’re short, but it’s heading in the right direction, and will only improve with more quality added.

Happy with this, on to the next one.

This season is just going to be 46 match threads full of people crying their eyes out because we're not just hoofing the ball forwards and then mysteriously disappearing when we score
