That interfering with play decision is easy to fix, drop the rule, offside is offside.

The problem comes when a player is flagged after pulling the ball back for an assist.

I quite like this winning thing.

Of all the ones that baffle me this is one of the most bizarre.

In 2015/16 we won 23 games, 2019/20 we won 18 of the, 2020/21 we won 20 games. We were not circling the drain for years before we went down. We could be enjoying winning in the Premier League. We had a squad and a setup capable of winning the league. Winning and being in the Championship are not mutually exclusive.

When you find a stream that is HD, works for the whole game from start to finish without the need to refresh .

Saturday was blissful in that regard.

It was a joke based solely on last year.

I mean, I'm not sure where you think I was implying any of it was easy or that I personally had the answers.

I assume some particularly brilliant engineers are behind technology in the likes of cricket and tennis.

I'm just saying I hope one day we get to see something similar for offside in football.

Even what they achieved in the world cup with the semi automated offsides was pretty incredible really.

I wasn't, I was just saying we are a long way from automating it because it is not as simple as tennis, which is simulating the path that one moving object of regular size and shape has already taken, likewise cricket, only 1 variable but extended with a predictive line.

For offside you need to take a number of irregular unpredictable moving variables into account that's without even considering the subjective nature of the offside rules and the difficulty in actually determining when the ball has been played to start checking.

The semi automated offsides are so much better than the crappy lines, but it still only tells half the story.

Playing some big clubs with big fanbases that we haven’t played in a while. The premier league outside of 8 or so teams is quite small these days, full of teams like Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford, Luton etc historically third tier or below sides who don’t have  a fan base of more than 20k or so, but got there through smart recruitment and/or good ownership.

I actually canceled Fubo for this season, which covers all PL matches here in Canada.

I have DAZN, which covers Championship(select matches), League One, Bundesliga, Champions League/Europe, etc...

And... I have iFollow, so I can actually watch Notts all season for the first time since we had dropped out of the leagues.

I realized that in the past years that I mostly only watched Leicester matches and maybe a smattering of other PL matches

Being that Notts is my team and I'm used to watching the likes of Morecambe, Walsall and Forest Green Rovers, I certainly don't have any issues with the quality of play in the Championship division lol

It's also super competitive and certainly a lot less predictable than the "almighty" Premier League.

Everything, I just can't be arsed with the Premier League and it's overproduced, sanitised bollocks, VAR's the obvious thing to point out but it's all shite. Give me games against the likes of Cov and away days at Huddersfield & Rotherham over the Man United/Man City/Newcastle's, it just feels better in some way as daft as it sounds.

I'd become that done with "top level football" the last few years that I'd vouch I'd be saying the same thing even if we'd lost every game so far this season too.

I've never understood this love for the Championship. I still feel absolutely sick that we are in there.

Ahem...it is what it is

Screens off in the concourse on match day meaning missing the game when sneaking out early at half time for a pint, beer @£6.25 I think it was (had too many to remember), paying more for substandard games away in shit grounds, and paying to listen to commentary if you can't happen to be there (when not able to get radio fester).  It's just really weird when a budget product ends up costing you more than the branded stuff.  Welcome to rip off Briton....

that might not be a permanent thing the screens being off, could have forgot to turn them on

This +1.

But why? Is it because the games are filmed for the clubs to offer abroad? Is it because less fans are interested in watching?

My stream on Saturday didn’t buffer once!

Fewer fans on the servers most likely.

is it all "sour grapes" over the PL or are we pleased to be in the Championship??

I don't think any Leicester fan wants to be in the Championship, it's just about accepting that you currently are and what are the positives about it.

Not having to see our results plastered all over social media after a loss to a "big six" club and having to avoid social media for a week...

Also just enjoy the competitiveness of the championship and knowing the fans of other clubs are actually proper fans who don't just support success.

No terrible penalty decisions being given via VAR is also a relief.

I don't miss VAR and I don't miss some of the crazy kick off times in the premier league.

That really is about it, signing players we wouldn't even consider as squad players a year ago,  players we loved for years now in the shirts of other teams, having to see the Forest highlights before us on Midlands news, almost being non existent to the national media.

It doesn't matter how much spin you put on the lads days out to Cardiff and Bristol this isn't where any of us really want to be.

I'm enjoying it now but didn't enjoy it one iota when we were losing 1-0 every other week to cloggers from the north west who were better at the art of clogging than we were. 'passing' consisted of the 4 midfielders standing in an arc somewhere around the box and slowly shifting it from one side to another with no movement or play between the lines, eventually putting a hopeful cross into a packed box and hoping to get a set play from it. No thank you.

I think you can really feel connected to your club. I already feel that back in the championship after several years of feeling cold.

Are we more connected to the club than last season or are they more connected to us?  We still hear nothing, the top brass haven't done an interview for 8 years apparently.  Was it 2-3 weeks BEFORE we knew Coady was out for 10??

FT is awash with transfer rumours, we generally have no idea what is going on.

I absolutely agree with these:

No VAR

Not having to pay attention to Sky's love-in with the same 6 or 7 clubs.

Not having to listen to low IQ pundits talking about our club when they don't know the first thing about us.  (ESPECIALLY).

But do I want the chance to go on European tour, more than anything, get to the latter stages of a cup, be the best team in Midlands if we can't be the best team in the League.

I just want to get straight back up, however scratty and dirty, its just about results, lets be up end March, early April, lets keep the current run of wins on at least till Soton & Norwich A.

If we do manage it (not planning ahead here), I just want to stay up next season and rebuild in the process and maybe have more players that want to play for Leicester City & the badge & the fans/support (that might be a pipe dream) we will see.
