davieG Posted 23 August 2023 Posted 23 August 2023 https://sportwitness.co.uk/leicester-city-interested-argentine-youngster-20-year-old-foxes-radar/ Leicester City interested in Argentine youngster – 20-year-old in the Foxes’ ‘radar’ By Lucas Sposito -23rd August 2023 Leicester City are now interested in an Argentine youngster, according to claims from South America. Telam writes that the Foxes have Newell’s Old Boys winger Brian Aguirre ‘on their radar’. Their story doesn’t bring many details about the chase, just claiming that sources from the Argentine club revealed Leicester City’s interest to LT8 Radio. Interestingly enough, the news comes right after Newell’s 2-0 win over Central Cordoba on Monday evening, during which Aguirre stood out with a goal. With no information on how advanced Leicester City’s interest is, it’s a case of waiting until major Argentine outlets come up with new updates. Featuring for Newell’s, Aguirre has three goals and five assists in 42 appearances so far. The youngster can play on both wings, as well as a striker, and has been part of Argentina’s U-20 squad. Transfermarkt currently values him at only €4m, but South Americans are often undervalued, so it’s likely his club would demand more for a transfer. Given his recent starts in South American competitions, it’s likely he’d have no problems getting a work permit for the Championship.
Aus Fox Posted 23 August 2023 Posted 23 August 2023 My NOB supporting mate says he’s got huge potential.
EnderbyFox Posted 23 August 2023 Posted 23 August 2023 Anyone seen a lot of Nob recently & can comment? 1

Looking on Newell fan sites they can’t believe he would go to a second tier team, and believe even 10 million is cheap (he’s only 20). If we pulled this off, It would be quite the coup from what I’ve read. 2

Thanks to the superb FoxesTalk player search function I can confirm it was Brian Deane in 2003. https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/history/lcfc-players/?q=Brian 3

StriderHiryu Posted 23 August 2023 Posted 23 August 2023 He was linked with the Inter Miami project earlier in the summer, and considered as one of the better prospects in Argentina: The other Argentine player we were linked with, Juan Gauto came on for him in a recent Argentina U20 match. Here's the goal he scored this week: No idea if he'd be any good, but you know all of the fans would love sign an up and coming winger from South America. 1
Popular Post Tommy G Posted 23 August 2023 Popular Post Posted 23 August 2023 More chance of signing Brian Badonde - our club isn't up to picking up South American talent and getting it over the line, can barely get the most basic of deals done. 2 5
STUHILL Posted 23 August 2023 Posted 23 August 2023 I don't know any Brian's who aren't top of their game. Get it done.
