For half an hour you know you will get a few decent crosses and he will track back when needed. Completely agree. I think Albrighton has been massively under-utilised this season.

I do think albrighton should have featured more. He doesn’t mess about and gets a good cross in at the earliest opportunity. That said Fatawu has on the whole been great this season and a breath of fresh air. He is still very young though and I think Albrighton could help him at times as he searches for that consistency. I have noticed in previous years that managers and fans alike forget the quality that Marc possesses and his ability to beat a man and work in confined spaces despite not being the quickest on the park. He has also played a more central role before with surprisingly good results. When we were in the midst of the injury issues he certainly could have been usefully employed. That being said we don’t see the full picture as fans and I have grown to trust Enzo selection as I think he gets it right the majority of the time. The game is all about teamwork and some players and partnerships just gel and some do not. 1
FoxesWalk Posted 6 April 2024 Posted 6 April 2024 (edited) He’s just played a potentially huge part in our season with that assist against Birmingham late on. Decision making miles ahead of Fatawu imo. I really like him, wish we would have seen more of him this season. There is a player there. Edited 6 April 2024 by FoxesWalk 3

Had Stephy not score that, he would have been crucified for not finishing that chance in the goalmouth.
Vacamion Posted 6 April 2024 Posted 6 April 2024 Running past the ball on the six yard line instead of banging it in during the chaos was quite the manoeuvre But lovely assist. 3

What is insane about that moment is you could argue it was worse than missing from two yards out. He didn't even take a shot! Crazy because if he got it the fans would have demanded he was signed up! Still a great cross. Fatawu is brilliant and really direct. But today you saw one of his weaknesses, in that he often misplaces key passes. Yunus isn't the type to beat a man, but his passing is very good. 4
Trev3939 Posted 6 April 2024 Posted 6 April 2024 Said for ages that he’s very good- starting to prove it to everyone 1
Supergray22 Posted 6 April 2024 Posted 6 April 2024 He looked very bright when he came on today. We will need him in the run in.

Number 6 Posted 6 April 2024 Posted 6 April 2024 He still has a lot to prove but he's neat and tidy and offers good versatility for this system. Good contribution today.

Foxes96 Posted 6 April 2024 Posted 6 April 2024 That’s now 26 apps for us, when does the option become an obligation again?
ARTY_FOX Posted 6 April 2024 Posted 6 April 2024 Albrighton had his day. He isn't what we need. Yunus is great.

He's just not suited to an attacking role, but seems crucial at whatever Enzo wants in terms of defending from the front. Desperately need someone who has an idea what to do for all the through balls we insist on playing to him though. 1

I sit right in front of that area. So frustrating. Yunus and Praet changed the game by injecting a bit of life into proceedings, and not following the same old manoeuvres over and over. 2
