Abdul Fatawu Signs

Recommended Posts

I’m not going into hard on Abdul BUT the comments about him being vastly superior to Gray are looking a tad premature.

Enzo leaving him on when stinking out the joint aren’t helping as he hasn’t in one game (from memory) started poorly and then changed a game.

He’s a young player who needed to be rotated in and out of the first XI but Enzo appears not to trust either Albrighton or Marcal..

The striker has been interchangeable but with the wingers its only the two lads who can be considered.

As with not considering Coady, Enzo is restricting his options and putting more pressure on himself. It’s great when it works but, when it doesn’t like now, why then?

Currently the problem is we get the ball out to him slow and he's got a choice of cross it to 1 person in the box v 3 defenders or slide rule pass to ndidi who hasn't quite made the run in to the box. So 9 out of 10 he passes it back to choudhury who passes it in to faes and the whole ****tardy merry go round starts again

Like many commented during the match yesterday, Fatawu and many of the other players look as though they are not being coached to develop at all.

As was the case with the stubborn Rodgers system, new players come in and look wonderful before having their natural flair and talent drilled out of them for the system.

How good did SM, KDH, and AF look at the start of the season compared to now.... all flair and expression removed for a team full of backward passing slow-paced drones.

If football is an entertainment business, and if fans pay primarily to be entertained, then the KP experience should be questioned under the trades description act.

Held his width today and thought he was very good. Impactful like we want him to be. The ironic cheers when he got the first long ball lol lol

Did annoy me when he just stopped instead of running into space when 2-1 up, but guess that's an Enzo instruction...

He was crap on Friday but looked much better today, which may have been down to not having Hamza behind and Ricardo instead plus much easier opposition in the full back he was up against who he had in his pocket all game.

He won't get many games as easy as he did today. I just feel he can create more insted of always trying to cut inside and shoot.

He really needs help with his shooting from Enzo. Done well today though which lifts everyone Fans and Players.

that pass to the byline would be an absolute winner if we had anyone any good making the run, but all year it's been ndidi, akgun and casadei, none of whom are dyed in the wool inside rights. If Alves makes it, then maybe him and fatawu can strike up a link in that space next season. hopefully in the prem.  they are going to have to because KDH and Ndidi will be long since gone!

Did anyone else notice how, immediately after the winning goal celebration in front of the bench, Enzo escorted Abdul off to the tunnel, apparently sending him to the changing room?

I wonder what that was all about? Hopefully absolutely nothing - fetching the post-match champagne or whatever. Hope Abdul didn't nut Yunus for coming on and putting in a better cross than he could manage?

Frustrating/poorish game for the lad today - in a good season. He's already a great prospect, but if he can learn to cross as consistently as he beats his defender, he'll be a hell of a player.

He’s got to stop playing that ****ing pass to ndidi to the byline… been doing it for weeks and it’s not working. So predictable and passed it out of play 3 times! He’s got potential and I like him but the amount of good positions he gets in and does nothing with is frustrating. Give Yunus a go.

Doesn’t help when N’Didi gives up running…

He’s got to vary it up regardless, you just know he’s going to play it as soon as he gets the ball. Needs to back himself 1v1, he’s got the talent …
