In the context of previous windows, I’m absolutely delighted with this window.  We shifted some deadwood, brought in some exciting youngsters, lowered the wage bill and made a profit. What’s not to like? Sure the perfect window would have involved a couple more outgoings and possibly a new Attacking Midfielder and possibly another CB, but on the whole, I’m delighted.

Pretty much exactly my thoughts.

And of many others too, I guess. 👍🏻

Yes.

We've made some excellent signings, kept all the players I wanted to keep and have some genuine strength in depth across the pitch.

My worry is that we’re gonna have a lot of work to do next year. Wish we would have sold more players that are on the last year of their deal. Hope the loans work out.

I’m happy with the in’s, not completely happy with the out’s could have done with abit more but we’ve got rid of the bad eggs and from that point of view it’s been a very cathartic transfer window indeed really.

The amounts of loans (In and out) slightly concerns me.

I hope that I’m wrong but the balance of the squad feels off.

KDH bar 30 minutes against Cov has been pretty poor yet who have we brought in that could replace him?

Winks or Ricardo gets injured? Same issue.

We also missed the boat of getting respectable fees for squad players when look at that list - their value will only go down without football/when classed as Championship players rather than recently relegated PL ones.

I genuinely hope that I’m wrong though and it’s just recent years making me cynical - thanks Rodgers and chums.👀

Happy with the signings overall. Needed to shift some more players on which could cost us. In an ideal world I'd have loved to have kept Barnes but understand why we couldn't.

Rudkin out and HMS pisstheleague is in full sail

I like our incomings but do feel our squad is too big. Will be interesting to see what happens with Daka given rumours about the additional payment milestone at 75 apps.

Definitely enough to win the league and think we will be able to extend some of those in their final year if we get promoted (and maresca wants them).

£55m in profit on sales and about £30m per year net benefit to the wage bill....not bad.

We now have 3 wingers for each side and at least 2 for every position except full back which he's not bothered about.

Pretty miraculous really.

4 strikers for a change is a luxury...

and approx a full team of goalkeepers Ward included as he is technically defined as a goalkeeper.

I didn’t think we’d be spending as much as we have on new recruits. I’d love to see the accounts though, as what we’ve saved in wages in those who have departed is clearly substantial.

All in all a good window and positive one for how Enzo plays. But still some deadwood around, so 7-8/10.

Quite happy with the in's. Less so with the out's. Would like to have got shot of Daka, Ward and/or Iverson, and permanents for Soumare, Thomas and Vester. But hey ho overall not too bad.

Pretty solid window in the circumstances.  Certainly one of our better ones of recent years.  Makes me wonder how much influence the manager has in it all.  Rudkin's the constant over the last few years, but this window seems positive (with Maresca) compared with pretty much all of the windows with BR.  I'm on the fence with Rudkin.

Made a profit on players which will cover most of our decrease in turnover this season, lowered the age of the squad and given ourselves at least some resellable assets.

On the downside we have it all to do again next summer, so we're not out of the woods by any stretch.

We've done some good business. Coady and Winks are going to be huge for us. Then you also add Doyle, Mavididi, Hermansen, Casadei, Yunus, Fatawu and Cannon. That's a lot of new players and we can safely say this is now Enzo's team. It's a shame we couldn't of let go one or two more, like Daka or Danny Ward. But credit to the club. We've backed the manager and I hope all the new players are a success.

It’s been an excellent window.

We’ve signed some good players who should do well at this level, and shipped out enough to reduce the wage bill.

I would argue against the balance of the squad being off, we’ve got plenty of wide players, and central attacking midfielders now to help us. A lot of the signings make sense and Enzo seems to be good at identifying what he wants to fit the system.

Expecting an entirely different squad would be unrealistic, and it would have likely left us in a worse position, it would have given us far too much work to do.

I have two reservations however….. one, the continuation of Yannick will come back to bite us in the arse, we’ve got away with it so far, but a striker just needs to have a good day, and we could be on the end of a hiding, we simply can’t defend with him in the team, luckily 90% of the strikers on this league are dog shit…..

And I think Mavididi is going to be a massive flop…. With some players you can just tell fairly soon what they’re about, and I’m just not having him at all, I sure hope he proves me wrong, but I’d argue Justin would be more productive in that position.

Other than that, I’m happy.

Happy with the incomings yes but still feel a couple are missing.

Outgoings no as there haven’t been more.

Rudkin…I put no but in reality somewhere in the middle if there’d been the option.

Promotion. Of course we can. Doesn’t mean we will. Rivals have strengthened so we need to take other teams seriously and stop with this BS that we will finish top, 30 points clear of second place!

Goalkeepers

Positive in Mads. Good strength but at the same time too many. Disappointed at least 1 has not gone, ideally 2.

Defence

Should have kept Kristiansen for me. We have a real lack of depth now and still playing Vestergaard. Souttar should be gone if Enzo isn’t giving him a chance. I feel very negatively about our defence and feel it could be our undoing.

Central midfield

Clearly a fantastic starting 3 of Casadei, Winks and KDH. Lack of number 8 strength an issue. Missing one more here I think.

Wingers

Good strength in depth. Will depend how the new guys are but seems positive.

Strikers

Cannon for Daka looked a good thing for two reasons, AFCON and Daka not being favoured. As with the GKs, 4 strikers for our system is too much. Hopefully Daka goes abroad to somewhere with the window still open but I was looking forward to seeing how he did in the Prem. Keeping Nacho is a big plus for our prospects this season but will we regret it if we lose him on a free?

Overall

6/10. Will go up to 7 imo if the new wingers look the business and we look immediately more threatening going forwards.

I can’t give higher than this really as it a case of the business done looks great but it’s the business now done, both in and out, that stops it having been a fantastic window.
