Popular Post Tommy G Posted 28 May 2024 Popular Post Posted 28 May 2024 Cant believe we have got £8m for him and not had to pay him off in Oct when he's lost 6 on the bounce, in the words of Borat...verrrryyyy niiiiiiiceeee 10
fox_up_north Posted 28 May 2024 Posted 28 May 2024 At that kind of money, fair play. Think Chelsea are slightly nuts, mind. Cheers for Preston away and a good promotion campaign but we move on. No guarantees he'd have kept us up anyway. 1
Popular Post Sly Posted 28 May 2024 Popular Post Posted 28 May 2024 Thank you for last season Enzo. Even as a Leicester supporter, life long fan and with the club at my heart, even I would have considered this. It’s a massive pay day for him and his stock may be at the highest it will ever hit. I wish him all the best. Bizarrely, it’s a weird one as he’s split opinions. 5
Popular Post Corky Posted 28 May 2024 Popular Post Posted 28 May 2024 Restored my faith in bald managers after the Holloway debacle. 5

They really need to find on-pitch success for the sake of their finances. Edited 28 May 2024 by Wymsey
South Shire Fox Posted 28 May 2024 Posted 28 May 2024 (edited) Cant blame him for going but will probably be sacked by xmas. Certainly hold no animosity to him after working with the drips on our board Edited 28 May 2024 by South Shire Fox
-sodapop Posted 28 May 2024 Posted 28 May 2024 No hard feelings, thanks for the promotion. Obviously hope he doesn't do well for Chelsea, but hope he absolutely rinsed them for a payday.

whoareyaaa Posted 28 May 2024 Posted 28 May 2024 The worse thing about this is that he will probably make Chelsea good again. Lot of work to do now on our end
Popular Post MPH Posted 28 May 2024 Popular Post Posted 28 May 2024 They'll qualify for the champions league and so many people will have egg on their faces. remember this post and feel free to remind me about it if im wrong. 5
foxes_rule1978 Posted 28 May 2024 Posted 28 May 2024 Got us promoted… one full season in the championship is all we have to go on and yes he did a fine job with a side expected to go up. Whether he can do it at Chelsea is a complete unknown it is a risk for them and to give him a 5 year deal is just a huge surprise

bmt Posted 28 May 2024 Posted 28 May 2024 Gutted about this. Think we'd have been a surprise package under Enzo in the prem. I think he will do well at Chelsea. 1

martyn Posted 28 May 2024 Posted 28 May 2024 (edited) Not really an opportunity he can turn down, and even if it goes wrong at Chelsea it won't really dent his standing too much given how much of a basket case they have been. Would like to have seen how we fared under him at the highest level even if most of us felt it might be a bit of a disaster given his football philosophy and lack of finance to make that work at premier league level. Overall I liked Enzo, he did a good job righting the ship, reconnecting the club with it's fans and took, in my opinion unfair stick from certain fans who conflated our squad quality with it's cost. Having said that, i don't think losing him as manager is catastrophic, I just don't trust the board to get the next appointment right. Edited 28 May 2024 by martyn 3
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 28 May 2024 Posted 28 May 2024 We gave him his first gig in England. A platform to progress and build a managers career. I don't wish him good luck at all. He dropped his knickers quicker than a hooker on Black Friday. Ta ra baldy!!! 3

I would, this is Chelsea we are talking about, hardly known for sticking with managers even if they do a decent job. Let’s face it no one actually knows what Enzo can do there isn’t any previous to go on. Regardless he has done well for himself to get such a big contract at a big club Edited 28 May 2024 by foxes_rule1978
coolhandfox Posted 28 May 2024 Posted 28 May 2024 Hopefully we can bleed them for a decent fee for his backroom staff...... Thanks for a enjoyable season. The king is dead, long live the king. 2

To be fair to Rudkin and the board we do usually get it right when it comes to managers although not sacking Rodgers earlier was a big mistake of course. 1
