Cesare a bit of a worry.. again, I know it's Liverpool but he hasn't impressed me at all yet  this season, bar the 90th minute winner where he was a hero for an hour

There are times where it's totally unnecessary, Hermansen seemed to have found a pretty good balance between going long and coming deep. 

 

If the other team is pushing up so far that you're marked man for man then that means there's a tonne of space to take advantage of, for me the intelligent play is adapting to the specific scenario rather than sticking to one idea. If you've got a man free then play it out, if everyone is marked tightly that means you can whack it and give one of your players a 50/50 battle to be in the oppositions half with a lot of time on the ball.
