Backup to both Ricardo as the inverted full back and Skipp as the "shuttler".

He will be limited but fine, have 2 or 3 stinkers (Bristol City away) and 1 absolute worldie (West Brom at home)

Sheffield United fans think he’s the best thing since sliced bread, ya know, in that league we’re playing in next season. Not the top end of the premier league.

Some need to let their agendas go and give their head a wobble. Like someone said previously there’s a long list of players that should go before he does.

So they should be putting in a bid in summer then? Would be cheap and it’s a massive PSR hand for us.

If he’s been that good they will surely be putting an offer in.

We've seen him in that league ourselves recently and maybe I'm being harsh but my memory is that he was pretty unremarkable. The feckless nature of our team this season has got people pining for players who charge about, dive into tackles and demonstrate pashun which I accept isn't totally unreasonable.

Was good at this level for us previously, ever reliable and won us 3 points at home vs West Brom at squeaky bum time. I’m not saying he’s some sort of world beater or even premier league standard. But he’s a very good championship player as he’s proven for Sheff Utd.

Doubt they’re willing to pay him the stupid wage we’ve given him, but that’s not his fault.

£15k a week lol

What wallies actually believe that. Try doubling it and adding a bit on

He was on 60k a week the season we got relegated from the prem. The rumours were a 35% deduction for relegation, which would be 21k a week less. So you’re not far off.

Keep Hamza, Winks and Skipp add Brownhill on a free and KDH on loan. Done.

I think KDH leaving Chelsea on loan is something you could picture this summer.

However, him dropping down to the Championship, highly unlikely sadly.

He was terribly inconsistent last time. His performance at Bristol city away for example. He was well truly part of that wobble we had leading up to Easter Monday.

At Sheffield United they looked to put more emphasis on his defensive duties, sitting infront of the back 4, breaking play up. Same with when he operated at right back, his role seemed to be to stop balls going in the box and to deal with players who were overlapping or underlapping down his side. As we know he's very good at that part of the game. It was totally different to his role under Enzo and he was very rarely used as a player who was required to get on the ball a lot and control play.

Only Leicester fans would want to get rid of a player like Hamza.

His value is low, his wages are acceptable, he's a good player that can fill about 8 positions to Championship standard and he's a Leicester boy that has only ever wanted to do his best for the club.

I get that he's a bit of a div off the pitch but ****ing hell we've just watched about 5 seasons in a row where essentially nobody gives a ****.

His wages are silly aren’t they? For me, being a bit of a div off the pitch can be a price you pay for a rolls Royce of a player. Hamza is not, get someone in on half his wage with a better attitude and influence on the rest of the squad. I honestly believe we could do all this with a player that also has a higher ceiling.

Get rid of him only to stop the Bangladeshi fan boys off facebook who think he is the Bangla Messi!!!

The Championship is Hamza's level, think we all know that. I have no problems in keeping him - local lad who might actually care unlike the long list of players we have that don't at the moment.

Not sure he justifies his wage which is my only issue keeping him on board, other than that he is a useful utility player IMO.

Those moaning about people having this agenda or that are maybe missing the point.

Hamza is an average Championship player and a poor player at Premier League standard. Just because the status of the club has changed doesn’t mean the quality of the player has. He’s the same player.

He’ll be ok at our new level. I’m sure if we drop further his stock will be even higher. He’d be a monster in League One. But that doesn’t mean that we should be pleased about it

As a player - No issue, squad filler

As a personality in the dressing room - Huge issue for me here, we're going to have a young, easily influenced squad. This is someone with a history of being seen in clubs the night before games, drink driving convictions etc etc.

Sure he might have grown up a bit in the last year, but it feels like this is exactly what we don't need in our set up next year. He's another with long standing links to Rudkin and Top too, bet he'd fancy himself as the new 'mole' unsettling players/managers.

Not even sure we can say he's grown up. He had those missed training sessions under Rodgers along with Chilwell and being left out the team for 3 months afterwards would normally wobble your head but there were more rumours of him having other disciplinary problems after that. Just when you think he's getting married, having kids and settling down he's caught DUI and gets a driving ban.

He'll do his bit in the dead men division for us but we can't be renewing his contract again. He doesn't have the positional awareness or the quality to go any higher and with so many centre mids and RBs already here he's worth whatever we get for him.

All the talk now, is about Hamza as a back up right back, which is fine, he can do a decent job there, but he is also a decent holding / central midfielder, certainly at Championship level. A great tackler (if a bit headstrong!), good pace & recovery, really enthusiastic and has an eye for a pass. Why are we going on about Skipp & Winks in that role (if Wilf is going) and the lack of an alternative, when Chouds could do it.

I know it would be nice to buy in a first choice holding / defensive player, but HC is a good back up.

Bar the obvious West Brom heroics 2 years ago the best game I ever seen him have was actually at centre half - have a feeling it was a cup game under Rodgers at home to someone

second choice right back iv no issues but no chance he starts games in centre mid

You had me there.... until you said "an eye for a pass"
