Sly Posted 29 November 2023 Posted 29 November 2023 I do think Enzo has a style he wants to adopt, in the inverted wingbacks and the box midfield. The issue is, you need players of a certain type to do that. Doyle was a massive loss. We don’t have a squad of players to play this style fluidly. Players will either adapt or be replaced. Puel, Pearson, Shakespeare and Ranieri actually built a good squad of players. Rodgers had us playing some blistering football with those players which was possession based. The last 18 months, however that was down to his and the clubs awful recruitment. Oh, he was an annoying **** as well.
