Have people forgot how well he played under Maresca in 23/24? 

 

He had one very bad game that season against Plymouth and everyone remembers that, thinking he can't do it in the Championship. 

 

Sure, we should sell if there's a decent offer, but he'll score goals at this level.

or maybe...just maybe.... Vardy was the better option.... something we would all agree on. 

 

Daka is and was always on a hiding to nothing.  He was never going to surpass our greatest ever striker, on the pitch or in the fans minds. 

 

but Vardy is now gone.  Daka is potentially the one holding the starting position. 

 

Until we sign someone to replace him, or someone steps up and keeps him out of the team, then as a fan base,  he should get our support.

He will always be the same. He'll give open goals to his critics every game because he does some of the worst things you'll see on a professional football pitch but does generally bring the chaos factor which provides space for others and occasionally gets him the odd goal.

Daka is like a striker version of Schlupp. He’s the only striker I know that has really good finishing but at the same time really shit finishing.  Anything can happen with this man. 
 

During his goal run at Austria I’m curious how many missed chances there were along the way. Did they just create constant opportunities or did he really just hit  stride of taking his opportunities ?

Hopefully getting a couple yesterday might help encourage any interested parties to make a move.

 

It’s a shame as we are so short up front and I do believe he can score regularly again in the right environment. However, when you are at the point he is here where a large part of the fan base are actively willing (and enjoying) his failure, there doesn’t seem any coming back from it.
