Not sure why Enzo is in the list.

Combination of senior members of hierarchy and mixture down the chain.

Top, Rudkin, Whelan, other senior management, Rodgers all need to shoulder some responsibility for the demise we're in.

They all got enough praise for the good times for 2016 and the years that followed, but the last 2-3 seasons (barring FA Cup win) have been really bad both on and off the pitch.

You don't go from 'model club' to the shitshow we're in overnight.

Crucial decisions that should have been made were missed. Opportunities to improve and build on solid foundations after 2016 and European adventures were sorely missed. Not even a 'hindsight is a wonderful thing' issue.

Cos it's not a serious list mate lol

Not sure why we are looking to blame when the club haven't been found guilty of anything.

Ermm, they are certainly guilty of complete ineptitude. Regardless of whether we broke the rules (which we probably have), the management have financially mismanaged us, and allowed us to slip from best of the rest to relegation.

If we're picking one person/party, why is it even a question? It's Top and the other owners to blame, that simple.

He's the one who has ultimate say on matters and more importantly, he's responsible for hiring people to make the big decisions on a day to day basis. That's really where your merits lie as an exec or large shareholder.

The day our fans distinguish a difference between Vichai's ownership and Top's ownership will be a good one. It's time our fans collectively face the unfortunate truth.

Very good point. Top just isn't ready to take this all on. Has he been given the running of KP as well?

All a bit premature. We haven't seen the accounts yet. Just rumour and speculation at this point.

The club could be accused of over ambition but isn't that what we wanted? Most wanted the club to push on to have another crack at the UCL. Many of these failed transfers were seen as somewhere between brilliant/decent/speculative at the time. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

To be optimistic for a moment, we might see the EPL/EFL rule interpretation unravelling once de Marco gets stuck in. The club clearly see merit fighting this by the issuing of legal action against the accusers and the call to have proceedings conducted in public.

Still too early to apportion blame at this stage, I reckon.

It is the board who are responsible for the governance and oversight of the football club. They hire and fire senior management who hold specific responsibilities. They should have spotted the issues earlier on and corrected them.through the establishment  and effectiveness of a sound risk management and control framework.

The blame lies to different degrees on several senior names on that list and some not on it but ultimate responsibility here lies with the board and senior management and one person in particular.

A close run thing but Rodgers for me purely for his tactics throughout last season, the most glaring of them ny playing Ward and Amartey in defence and not Iversen and Soyuncu which most definitely cost us a few points. Had we played the latter duo throughout (instead of when it was too late),  that would've kept us up last season - in spite of having his hands tied on the transfer front in the close season.

Ultimately Top is responsible and the buck should stop with him, but the blame is obviously shared.

Poor signings, poor decisions on wages/financial management, poor on pitch management, poor individual performances - they all contributed to where we find ourselves and many decisions that might've been made could've saved us varying degrees of hurt.

Top, Rudkin, Whelan, Brendan, some of the players - they all deserve part of the blame.

Top is the owner,  it's his responsibility. Can't take credit for good times and then not criticism for bad times.

Rudkin is a big issue, with contracts and poor signings, but again that comes back to Top for employing him and sticking with him.

Its the shitty wanky rules of football primarily but I suppose all play a part.

Its stupid that to meet a stupid arbitary 'loss' rules over so many seasons by a bunch of clowns, is enforced which means we have to sell our best players to a group of clubs that are in debt to the tune of a small country! Its hilarious!

Instead of saying who's to blame, how about who is responsible. Its not about blaming one individual but a collective responsibility at the club. It's a combination of things. Yes you can blame one individual more than another but ultimately its the collective responsibility. You can say who's more at fault than someone else but it's not just one person's fault or one's person's responsibility.whos mistakes and bad judgement from the list above has cost us more.

A mix of the top 4 but there's a percentage of blame to the PL and EFL too for letting it get this out of hand. These rules should have been enforced for the last decade not just because the powers that be are wetting their pants about this new regulator. Now there's a backlog of cases, lawyers filling their pockets and total mistrust between the fans and the authorities that any of this is either fair or transparent.
