Leicester 2-1 Birmingham POST MATCH.

Recommended Posts

People around me were slagging off Enzo for the conceded goal. I found this quite unbelievable. It's good to have playing out as a principle, but the players have to react to the situation in front of them. When Birmingham started putting 4 players on the edge of our box from our GKs, it is simply too risky to try and play through that.

Buzzing after that. Birmingham were terrible

Just shows we all see the game differently. I thought Birmingham were a reasonable side, certainly better than their league position suggests

I really enjoyed today.

I know Mads screwed up but I think it took a lot for him to turn to the Kop at half time just as some were telling him how f****** useless he was. He also pulled off a great save in the second half.

Wilf concerned me a little today as at time he seemed to run out of steam and desire.

Vesty…. I think I love this man. I love his awkwardness but today in those closing few minutes I saw a bloke who actually gave a damn. I really couldn’t fault him today.

JJ was great substitution and offered something different to Doyle .

These next few weeks are going to be exciting.

He looked exhausted.

I actually thought his desire was there but his body simply didn’t respond to his brain (a feeling I know well from my playing days!)

Just watching the highlights back, ridiculous how we didn't get a penalty for JJ being pulled down when about to head in (1min 20ish)

Should won more convincingly with the chances and a poor ref who missed two pen shouts. Birmingham defense wise dont look too bad, but their problems lie up to no attacking threat up top

It’s the mark of champions to win whilst not fully at it. Go back 10 days and the vast majority on here would not have predicted 6 points from Norwich and Brum. Top with a game in hand … it’s not bad. Yes we blew a huge lead but it’s football.

Christ.

It's our routine for goal kicks. Mads just didn't notice how quickly he was being pressed and took too long. It's that simple.

No it isn't, The routine is to retain possession not to play two attackers onside by playing it across Goal.

Enzo never told him to do what he did. It was just plain stupid. Thankfully we got away with it in the end.

After all the relief and accolades on this board this was not a great

win, we should be beating teams of this statue more easily than

we are doing at present. As I’ve said before we are deficient in a quality

strike force.

Extremely poor from the goalkeeper, and it’s not the first time he’s

screwed up, he looks a bit to arrogant for my liking. He is paid to be

a goalkeeper and save shots not to try to emulate an outfield player, he

needs to stick to his job.

I think at this point in the season performances are not important. Results are everything as pressure tends to limit performances for most teams in this situation

We literally always do it. Your username is irony, isn't it? Please tell me it's irony.

Most games at this stage of the season you’re going to be nervy given the stakes, we did well we got a win - it’s enough for me. Tick it off and move on

There's a fine line between confidence and overconfidence when this passing between Mads and Faes/Vestergaard in particular goes on.

They each have to be ultra careful and precise or emphasise passing out to the wings to Fatawu and Mavididi via the wing backs. There's been too much sloppiness at the back. If Wilf wasn't so important where he is now I'd prefer him playing as a link man between defence and Winks. But you can't have 12 men on the pitch. Although some of the refs we've had might not notice. 😁

and the teams in risk of relegation fight for their lives and strange results occur. We rode it and thats all we need at this point.
