yeah I don’t think any of us think we’re close to those 2 😂.  We’re poor at home for a start

Do you see LCFC as your closest rivals?..

There a better version of us, but not by much

There really won't be a huge amount in it come the end of the season in my opinion. Anywhere between 12th and 15th is a decent season for them and represents progression. Player for player, we could perform similarly with better management.

You’re not getting it. Every team we play is going to batter us until they don’t. Then it falls upon the next team we play to batter us. And on it goes.

It's like an inverse last season where 'we were going to batter someone once we clicked,' and we had more games where we huffed and puffed than slaughtered anyone.

That is a good thing, surely?

Absolutely

If we can scrape to 17th or better this season then it really wouldn’t surprise me if we managed to sneak into the Europa Conference  the season after.

Actually think Brighton might drop like a stone and could even be in a bit of a relegation battle.

I hope buonanotte has a relegation release clause 😄

Brighton are one poor summer transfer window away from being bang in trouble.

Everyone always says this, but even if they did go down, I'd back them to immediately come back up, not be in the shit like we were with FFP, and get back to establishing themselves easily.

I'm beginning to like Spurs because of Maddison.... what's happening to me 🥴

Maddison is one of the only things I don't like about them nowadays lol

They are better and more organised at the back, definitely. I'd go so far as to say that's the difference between us.

Overall, second biggest/closest after Derby.

But South of Trent Bridge and in North Leics (where we have quite good support) it’s more about Leicester.

One of our songs is usefully chronological: “We hate Derby County, we hate Leicester too, we hated Sheffield United but Forest we love you”

If we both stay in the Prem for a few years (assuming no Derby there) I can see Leicester becoming the bigger rival again.

Did Brighton really spend 40m on Rutter? That seems a very un Brighton like signing. I didn’t rate him that highly in the championship last season

Fair enough
