StanSP Posted 10 March Posted 10 March Luckily for him Reid was on the pitch otherwise it goes down as another mediocre at best performance. It's like both of them have a competition for it.
Popular Post Sunbury Fox Posted 10 March Popular Post Posted 10 March Still thought he was dreadful. Can't run and press and is not even up with play most of the time. Only 9 more games of him to suffer, assuming he'll play in every one of them, as per. 7

No doubt he has a better touch than daka, but I guess we all know the issue is we needed a striker. Daka has more energy. Though that isn’t difficult.

Stuntman_Mike Posted 11 March Posted 11 March Still recovering from the couple of applauses he got last night, simply for not being diabolical in those moments. One for... turning back, not falling over and laying off a 5 yard pass. The other... controlling the ball unchallenged and laying off a 5 yard pass.

Richmondfox Posted 11 March Posted 11 March 1 hour ago, Stadt said: Posted in another thread but this is the problem - where is he? As he doesn't make an effort to drag defenders away or get in a good position, it's probably better he's not there to not mess things up for his teammates.
Bablemikey Posted 11 March Posted 11 March stayed on his feet until 34th minute. must be some kind of record!
Popular Post AKCJ Posted 11 March Popular Post Posted 11 March Had to laugh about a minute in when he tackled two Leicester players as they were about to shoot. Hard to think we'd be worse off with 10 men. 7
Phil_Dunphy Posted 11 March Posted 11 March Bobby Reid was going absolutely crazy at him a couple of times in the first half. He kept bollocking him for drifting back and out wide leaving no-one in the forward position. Reid actually went up in my estimation after that. 1
em9999 Posted 12 March Posted 12 March One two three four five Once we signed ayew thinking he would be alright 6 7 8 9 10 Then we sent him back again Why did we send him back You may well ask Cuz hes ****ing shite

When they are both playing, Reid normally has to do Ayews pressing of opposition centre backs for him. He's probably had enough of the lazy sod. 2

OntarioFox Posted 14 March Posted 14 March (edited) Right, let's do the Ostrich and assume Rudkin isn't going to be stupid enough to extend. If that happens, we are 100% getting a new striker in the summer. It's going to be a breath of fresh air when whoever comes in to replace this blobfish of a footballer turns out to be capable of doing basic, yknow, striker stuff. Like scoring goals. Or playing off the last man. Or actually getting into positions around the box, instead of being physically repelled from it towards the corners and halfway line as if they have the wrong magnets in their boots. They're probably going to become a cult favourite within weeks if they so much as hint at being competent in front of goal. It's something to get excited about - but at the same time, it's going to be a source of anger for a number of years that we not only downgraded from Vardy to Ayew, but had the temerity to give him the GOAT's shirt number. It's just so, so simple - swallow your pride and look for a basically competent championship or league one striker. We've turned our noses up at the likes of Ollie McBurnie, Lyndon Dykes, Joel Piroe, Patrick Bamford, Richard Kone. All players we wouldn't have given a sniff towards even three years ago, but the reality of where we are now - all of those names have gone on to do more at their respective clubs than this turtle has managed for us. Not having revisionism based on him being a 3/10 against Bristol City instead of his usual 1 or 2. Kill jester. Get rid of him, he's shite. Edited 14 March by OntarioFox 2
fazzyfox Posted 14 March Posted 14 March In around 4 months time I might need a handyman to tidy up my wall, it has some deeply scored tally marks in it and the words “Hate Him”
BKLFox Posted 14 March Posted 14 March Rowett this week has said he will ignore the boo’s and will continue to play Ayew as he thinks he’s a fantastic footballer and still has a lot to offer us….what aren’t we seeing 🤷♂️
