Which is why he shouldn't start. Bring him on when we have a lead to protect. Or when playing a team far superior to us.

On the ball I didn’t think he was bad yesterday but he was so far tucked inside that it gave Young a free pass for the whole game, which is 100% on Cooper. In games like yesterday’s , I think he might be more useful as a central striker with 2 flyers either side of him, as he can hold up and lay off the ball effectively. He obviously won’t score many goals, though.

First we made the Palace lot chuckle with 7m for Ayew then we send them into hysterics by taking their other non goslscoring striker, couldn’t make it up, especially when we already have Daka. 
 

Desperate panic signings that highlight the clubs lack of any Plan A let alone a Plan B

That’ll be Reid, the other heads in the sand signing on a 3 year contract. It bothers me there are employees at the club supporting the manager with these horrible requests for past it experience, Cooper and whoever they are must go

Maybe just me but I really can't see why we blew money on him. I would rather have seen sharky given an extra year. No transfer fee and that guy would give his all for the badge. Seen nothing yet from ayew to convince me he's an upgrade.

For 5m and his wage packet, there are at a guess 150 similar level l, and available players throughout the EFL and Europe's second tier leagues that could and would fulfil a similar role. And be aged 23-28..

 

It was as unimaginative signing as possible to be.

I really like him in the side. 

 

He drops deep, is good on the ball although not spectacular. 

 

I just feel his physicality is a proper weapon but he's quite creative at the same time. 

 

I can see why Cooper picks him in the side even against inferior opposition.

He's a scapegoat and the ire of many before a ball is even kicked.  Though I agree with @whoareyaaa that he's probably a better bet as a bencher to bring on in situations where you're struggling to get out.

He's been fine so far today but people just want to shit on someone. I'd still prefer to see Fats with Mav and Buo all at once, but Cooper won't start that.

He looks after the ball well and can win a free-kick or 3. Sometimes he wins them when  actually trying to stay on his feet and play might be more beneficial to us though! - We aren’t particularly good at attacking set pieces!  
 

He doesn’t press well though. He goes through the motions at times, as if his closing down is blocked by a lorry load of spilt syrup.

Was doing my head in second half how he was just trotting around, midfield was getting overrun and somehow he nearly managed to play the whole game.
