I don’t want Russell Martin he is wank, genuinely see how many point Southampton got, they were shite, our piss weak mentality team rolled them over 3 times and beat them fairly easily the other week. If Rudd is shit then Martin is gonna be a whole new level of piss weak Btec Brendan Rodgers. This is my biggest problem with sack Rudd people say ‘anyone’ is better but the bunch of clowns running our club know no bounds, give them shit they will give you shitter!

So who is a mildly competent one who is going to want to come?

What the point of spunking yet more millions on someone else who might not work because they are not top class. We have to be sure if we bring someone in they will be better, I’m not confident the club are competent enough to do that

By the same logic we should keep hold of faes and Vesterrgard cos as extremely unlikely as it seems we could sign someone who performs worse. And you can't know that we would appoint a dof better than Rudkin so best keep him too. Now obviously our own eyes and knowledge would show that those 3 men much like RvN are absolutely  bottom of the barrel when it comes to what they're paid to do but if you can't guarantee 100% that you'd replace them with better why risk it eh?

The way it's heading, I can see RVN being sacked post the financial year end and then Kingy being put in charge. Most cost effective way for the club given what's expected to come

Well I’ve never actually said he’s better, I said maybe he deserves a chance given the options available are not exactly great. Martin has got up via the playoffs we have no idea if Rudd could, but he did alright in the Dutch league which is a better standard than the championship. My point there’s no point changing unless you are sure you are bringing in someone better which we can’t really be sure of. I can’t honestly say Martin is going to do a better job or Dyche with these players. Just seems a waste of money we don’t have with likely the same outcome.

You literally said they were all worse than ruud lol

I think ruud stays with the par charge coming. Only way he goes is if he walks away.

This is the thing. The PSR charge gives the board an excuse: "oh we can't spend money, look, we're trying to comply...oh no we have to stay in the Championship another season because of a heavy points deduction...well that's not our fault, the EFL/PL gave it to us...ah we've got even less revenue now so we can't invest..."  and so on and so on.

There's no accountability at this club. I do wonder what it will take for that to change. Probably a complete regime change, you'd have thought.

No I said they could be and that given the fact we have beaten Martins masterclass assembled team and the man everyone holds up as the best young coach McKenna suggests he might do better than them given the opportunity in the Championship :crylaugh:

If someone gives me a name that I think is better than him then fine, but none of these names linked so far are.

Rudd has won the 2022 Johan Cruyff Shield and 2022–23 KNVB Cup, McKenna and Martin didn't so using logic of won something they haven't had a chance to win, thats higher prestige than league 1 or Championship playoffs? So literally nothing makes them better either, they have all spectacularly failed in the prem so far.

He might be shit, but given the state of the club anyone else we bring in could be too.

A young up and coming manager who has won nothing might actually be better than some of these been there's.

Id maybe accept Dyche if we are going down the longball, thugball get the job done kind of route but it again would show a complete lack of direction and planning from the club, Why spend 7-8 years building tippy tappy to employ Cooper and then Dyche, Seems and odd move but suppose we just have to put up with whatever the muppets decide.

How can we afford to sack RvN? I’d keep him anyway. He’s been set up to fail, hamstrung by Coopers recruitment and years of poor decision making, and I think he deserves the opportunity to try and sort this mess out.

Also who in their right mind would want our job at the moment? It’s like last summer all over again. No one wants to take a job with an impending points deduction.

King is articulate and intelligent and I would like to see him as part of the set up. Not sure about the top job but definitely a better choice than Martin.

Russell Martin will be the final straw for me. And for that reason I kind of hope it happens. Never been so disillusioned with the club and football in general

Very uninspiring if we go ahead and appoint Martin.

Senior management clearly just see he was promoted with us last season and totally ignoring all his failures this season.

I think I'd sooner keep Ruud on the proviso that he leaves for nothing if he's not doing ok after 3 months.

It would give him a chance to sign some of his own players and rebuild his reputation

The fanbase obviously don’t want Martin, but the fans made it completely untenable for RVN to stay.

We just knew they were going to do something stupid.

I know it's a bit revisionist post relegation . But I've seen enough last few games to suggest there's something to work with moving forward. The results have at least come against the teams around us.

He hasn't walked, he's taken criticism. And seems to get on well with the youngsters at least. If he is to drain the swamp with the bad eggs like Winks and Vestergaard then so be it, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt

Getting another PSR penalty, we cant keep squandering money on sacking managers. We've got a loss before we've started. Use that comp to back Ruud with what he wants

We're honestly gonna be back here asking the same questions with Martin being no better off. It's a ludicrous appointment!

Exactly, Martin will refill the swap and encourage the piss weak mentality to continue.

From what I remember Brussel has a bit of an issue accepting when his team is pants.

I cannot put up with another bloke who talks the same sort of shit Brendan did when we were going down and refuses to take accountability.

People will hate me for saying it but I'd much rather have Sean Dyche than Russell Martin or RvN for that matter. That's not saying I want Sean Dyche.

I agree.

My view of Dyche is that at least he'll make changes at the back, make us more difficult to concede and hopefully beat & at least be relatively pragmatic.

Martin The **** will just ponce about as though he's in a Timotei advert.

If you were going to bring him in put him on a rolling 3 month contract at the most
