Let's put the Skipp transfer into context:

 

We signed Soumare in 2021 for £20mil and since then he's been seen as poor transfer business. Some of the worst we have done in recent memory.

 

We have signed Skipp this summer for £20mil and he's not even at the level to be a backup for Soumare.

Honking performance, today’s performance roughly aligns to where I expected us to be if Cooper stayed on. Not quite sure how much blame Ruud can take for today as the job he’s taken on is monumental but we were tactically abysmal today. Add in absolutely zero desire or care from the players and you end up 4-0 down. 
 

Everyone is to blame for that, we need signings in Jan.

Was never expecting anything today but to see bang average players jogging around for 90 minutes is a real concern. Next weekend should be treated like a cup final

I think you have to be realistic, with a fully fit squad it's difficult, with 5 first teamer out and 3 who play the same position even more so.

 

Losing Hermansen at half time was a killer blow.

 

We needed quality players in during the window before today, nothing changes.

Thst was utterly vile. Our away performances and results in the last month or so have been an absolute disgrace.

 

Big job to make us competitive with the unavailability we currently have but that was shocking.
