Anil will doubtless do one of his excellent analyses of our performance but this week I'm going to save him the trouble.

This is a simplification but we've been beaten by application and shoot on sight tactics, and when those are successful they can be employed by any team against us, regardless of quality.

Too many mistakes by players who have to represent our club in the world's toughest league, and unless that is stopped any benefit we get from better tactics will be negated.  January will be massive but we need quality changes to the team selected before the next match.

They threw away survival yesterday. That’s it. Mid-December, we are gone. We’ll be in the bottom 3 come the New Year and it’s over. No way they come back from that.

Honestly don’t want to see most of them ever again. Stick the kids in - I want to see people like Alves over Ayew. There is no point faffing about with pretending to try and stay up. 3 wins come Jan. 3 come 19 games makes it close to impossible.

In the first 5 mins, we win the ball high up and bilal first instinct was to turn back to safer and lay a n easy ball back rather than drive at the wolves  defence.

it sets the tone..

I thought we were ultra defensive also against Brighton and got out of jail..

a must win gave v wolves and we pick a safe 11…. Buonantte who has been a shining light so far this season should be starting before ayew, bilal and mavididi..

we have nothing about us, no drive, passion, desire, will to win that should be within a footballer at any level..

it’s worrying that after 3/4 RVN games in charge that we don’t seem to press, harass the opposition… we’re sitting ducks..

it’s a tough watch, over the next 3 games we’re going to fall into the bottom 3 and it’s where we are going to stay for the remainder of the season imo..

It’s unfortunately Cooper ball with a more handsome coach! 4-4-1-1 would be better than this shite, asking fullbacks with no quality to play like wingers is a disgrace. Either sign two wing backs or take the pressure off them and ask them to defend only. Villa seem to do ok playing it. Yes their full backs are better and get forward more but essentially they are mainly 4-4-1-1. Wolves started so poorly, couldn’t pass water and we didn’t trouble the worst team to come here.

I don’t have any faith in Ruud after the first 4 games, so far it’s been down to poor finishing by the opposition in the first 2 games, and the last 2 has been an unorganised mess… yesterday was a performance which gets managers sacked, Ruud has 7/8 more games to save his job

Typical of the way the club is being run     knee jerk reactions followed by no accountability... sadly we are likely to go down so there is little point of changing the manager .... unless he walks ... or has a new years transfer miracle at hand

I will never forget that. Walking up the stairs to seeing loads of people standing there clapping when we were confirmed relegated. Absolutely baffling

They leave when we're one nil up but stay when we're relegated, it's hard to understand.

Only positive - Wolves are as bad  as us .
Get key players fit and add a few quality loan signings in January and we might scrape 17th

Straw clutching .

If RVN thinks Ward and Ayew are worth starting a game  again - forget it

The defending by Justin for the second goal was awful of did he mis hear a call ?

I think he missed heard a call. You can definitely hear a shout in the highlights as he went to the ball and look at his reaction after. The body language almost saying why did you shout?

He should have probably still done better though. But I do wonder if that is the reason.

@StriderHiryu  - what do you think? Have you stomached analysing this game?

The lack of structure and organisation in the team is very alarming. I hated Cooper's style but at least he had an idea of how he wanted to play, and the players (broadly speaking) knew their jobs. Yesterday was really troubling, there was no clear idea or pattern to anything the team did.

If in doubt - clear it. Rule 1 of defending

Absolutely agree. And that is why I think he should have done better and just dealt with it, even with the shout. But it's just an observation that I noticed in the highlights.

At first I thought he must have heard a shout, but if that was the case I would have expected him to have gone mental at Ward afterwards. For me he should have just chested it back, relative to where he was at the time, Ward would have picked it up easily.

This goal, especially with the way Ward lay on the floor afterwards sums up this current squad. It's looking grim.

Yes didn’t exactly cover himself in glory there either .

As a defender, regardless of whether he thinks there is an opposition player there or not, he should deal with it if he doesn't hear a call. Launch the ball into row Z.

But from that position Ward should also do better.

I wonder if the wolves player said something. There's no way Ward was ever getting that and as has been pointed out, surely if Ward said to leave it JJ would've had recriminations with him.

The galling thing is that there is so much wrong with this and the first two things are simple communication.

Ayew ****s off his man and doesn't say anything to JJ, there clearly isn't any useful communication between Ward and JJ and then the goalkeeping is horrific.

If you didn't know any better you'd think someone was paying Ward to concede that goal.

I’m usually over a result pretty quick but still feel disgusted at yesterday’s performance.

It was so bad and I can’t think of any positives.

I wouldn’t mind if Wolves were all that but they only needed to be bang average.

We never laid a glove on them in our most important game of the season.

Absolute muck.

I thought the Players must have had their Christmas Party on Friday or Saturday. Because they never looked up to the job on Sunday.

The performance was appalling form the majority of them. The amount of times we gave up good possession without any urgency to win it back.

I don't ever want to see Ward wear the shirt again. He's worse than bad.  6 Goals conceded without getting a hand to any of them.

We have got to get in some quality in January otherwise we really will be relegated with this Squad. The first job Ruud has to do is get the players fitter and instill belief into them.

Then it's back to basics first. Defenders defend and clear there lines.  We need somone who can hold the Ball up top to give others a chance to get up in support.

All we have to hope for is some improvement for the rest of the season and maybe with quality signings we might just manage to survive, But with what we saw yesterday I doubt it.

That has to be one of the most abject, abysmal performance in a long time - zero fight, desire or passion. I really didn't think we were that bad!

AYEW dodged a bullet with the Ward thing  - never want to see him in a Leicester shirt again.
