A manager needs to be appointed when the people behind the scenes have been removed.  Changing the manager will achieve nothing until the changes above the manager are made.

I’d sack him now, and have one of the coaches as interim manager.  No one can keep us up so there’s no point spending serious money now, but RVN is making the players worse with every passing day.  And the fans are giving less of a shit with every passing day. At this rate, by the end of the season, we’ll have broken all the records for crapness, and the fans will barely be aware the season has ended because we’ll have completely checked out.

We’ve had these owners for 15 years, different managers have brought different fortunes. Of course it can make a difference.

 

Whether it will result in a complete turnaround in fortunes is another matter. But we can organise a defence better, score an actual goal, win a match even. And if a new manager has a longer preparation he could make us competitive in the long run. 
 

The thread asks what we would do. Top would hire a crap manager, I’d hire a good one. But the club needs some self-respect first - Ruud needs to go without question.

No one at club cares about the fans. We all knew this season was going to be a rough ride, no matter who the manager was or who we signed! 
The club signal handingly via the board and players have totally destroyed the faith of our fans. It’s so disheartening watching the sorry excuse of a team playing. I’ve always supported the team, with blind faith and pround to support LCFC, but this team doesn’t deserve my support and it’s draining me of my faith in my club☹️

Too expensive to get rid of Ruud now but as many others have suggested put him on gardening leave as we need to try and build a little positive momentum before we start in the Championship next season. Get in a new coach as soon after the end of this season as possible and put Filbert Fox in charge for the last 8 games. He couldn't do any worse than Ruud.
