God, sounds awful. Exactly what we’ve been saying about people associated with this club putting us down at every opportunity while other clubs talk themselves up until the media accepts them as a big club.

I definitely will not be watching.

Yes, Tanner is insufferable as always . A “journalist” useful only as an apologist for club management, yet so condescending toward its history and fans.

I’d still suggest you watch the doco. It’s hard-hitting only on our emotions as fans. But still really good.

I wouldn't wish us upon a legend like Vardy and if you do you should give your head a wobble.

A fallen European giant would be great fun. Not another dog shit relegation threatened side who can't string two ****ing passes together either.

Tanner was playing the "Will Buxton" role in Drive to Survive - doing a mix of explaining the obvious and hyper-simplifying things for the casual viewer.

It is infuriating if you're either a fan of the club or follow football closely, though. It downplayed our achievements before, made us seem smaller and demeaned us. Proper annoying but you have to detach it. This wasn't trying to be a serious football documentary, it was a rags-to-riches human story which Vardy was front and centre and we were a by-product. It didn't matter to the documentary producers it was us, so our back story wasn't important. It was all Vardy, Vardy Vardy.

Plus the more you demean our past the more you ham up JV's achievements which, when you're sole objective is to make him look good, is a no brainer.

Whether Tanner should've agreed to parroting that narrative is another debate entirely.

Personally I really liked the first half of the documentary on his back story and his first season struggles with us. After that though it tailed off badly. A mix of knowing exactly what was going to happen and the simplification of what we did.)

Depends what's on offer. We don't know the full story but it didn't look.like he had many offers last year.

I don't want him back.

Club legend coming back to this shower of piss.

Don't let him tarnish his reputation back here.

Not bothered where he goes, just not back here.

He's already had a pretty awful end of career inflicted upon him and bringing him back just extends it further. I wish he'd left after 2024 really as at least that was 'sort of' a high. I guess he at least finished on 200 in 500.

I think what's crap is that if you draw a flow chart of every single thing that happens with us, whether it's players or managers, it finishes on "owner has got to go" every time without fail. Who do I want as manager? Yadda yadda yadda... "pointless until the ownership has changed".

At this point I want full pelt pressure on the ownership. Vardy coming back would slightly alleviate that. It's a depressing position to have but totally necessary.

I'd prefer him to sign for a competitive side, even if he only plays a bit part. 3 relegations in 4 seasons, not sure what enjoyment he's getting out of these last few years. Seems to prioritise playing rather than success so that's commendable I guess.

ugghh. We don’t need a Beckham replacement family or another Fury family..  just go and enjoy your money, both of you!

those legal expenses don't pay for themselves

I can see him in any top European club, playing as a sub for 30 minutes. He can hold his own anywhere, against any defender for half an hour, for sure.

Actually wouldn't be surprised if a bigger Italian team went for it. He didn't do 'badly' at Cremonese and it's the sort of move they make.

If a 39-year old Jamie Vardy can get to 7 goals and 3 assists with a pretty weak Cremonese, imagine what he could do at one of the two Milan clubs, Juve, Napoli, or in Rome (Roma, thanks to the Ranieri connection).

Even Como would be a great choice.

Not sure whether him and the missus would want to trade in the Italian lifestyle for something colder just yet.

There is absolutely zero chance on this earth he returns to us.

The fairy tale was well and truly wrapped up after his leaving show.

I think it depends on how much he thinks he has left to give as to who he signs for. If its going to be his last season, i think he could sign for Sheffield Wednesday for nothing more than the nostalgia and story behind it.

The real reason Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy is saying ciao to Italy
Former Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy and his wife Rebekah moved to Lake Garda in Italy when he signed for US Cremonese, but burglary, family struggles and relegation have seen the family return to the UK

Sheff Wed mate of mine who has been getting alot of info recently regarding them seems to think they're signing him.

Wouldn't begrude him that but I do not want to see him playing against us, it wouldn't feel right.

Will almost definitely happen. Their new owner will want a big story signing and Vards fits the bill. Be a great end to his career too. Hopefully they get Sheff Utd in the cup and he rattles them. Not a chance he’s coming back here and he shouldn’t do. Probably can’t afford him anyway.
