James_lcfc Posted 20 June 2025 Posted 20 June 2025 Best to keep him now we're playing at a lower level. Nobody is paying £9million though, so we probably don't have a choice anyway!
lcfc sheff Posted 20 June 2025 Posted 20 June 2025 in all honesty keeping Ndidi I'm not actually concerned about, its the boring dreaded Skipp and Winks I don't like. 2

If we are going to do a reset and bring in the young guys, I’m half tempted to get rid of all three and put my hopes in Braybrooke
Lambert09 Posted 24 June 2025 Posted 24 June 2025 (edited) Everyone, Man U and Saudi clubs interested in wilf supposedly. I think he ends up at a Saudi club tbh Edited 24 June 2025 by Lambert09
ithuriel Posted 24 June 2025 Posted 24 June 2025 Any half decent fee would be good, been past his prime for a long time and another off the wage bill.
scinnell Posted 24 June 2025 Posted 24 June 2025 If we get 9 million for him which would be pure profit at the club, then somebody has played a blinder there because he could have easily walked away for free last summer.

You say that but I wonder how much we paid in sign on fee, agent fee and wages for this year. I bet it wouldn’t be far off, if not £9mill. And let’s be honest, he hasn’t offered anything this season. So not so much a blinder as covered the cost of the new contract and year of wages.

Muzzy_no7 Posted 24 June 2025 Posted 24 June 2025 I’d be amazed if someone pays half of his release clause.
Popular Post sdb Posted 24 June 2025 Popular Post Posted 24 June 2025 People forget he's a decent player because he's been managed by absolute cretins for most of the last 4 years 5
TommyK Posted 24 June 2025 Posted 24 June 2025 Ndidi for 9m is a great buy. You don't get much for that now a days. Definitely not established premiership players.
MPH Posted 24 June 2025 Posted 24 June 2025 (edited) A lot of people are saying he’s passed his best and I really don’t think that’s the case. I think he’s simply lost interest in playing for LCFC a long time ago. I think he re-signed because circumstances dictated that was a better option. Edited 25 June 2025 by MPH

Bptiger Posted 26 June 2025 Posted 26 June 2025 Gee there’s lots of hate for him , he has been one of are best and that’s been kind to the rest of, he runs his arse off and gives 100% every time he runs in that pitch. Even if he’s not as good as he once was , playing in the championship, he will again kill it , just don’t see us getting a better player than him with our no money problem . 2
Popular Post CornwallFox Posted 26 June 2025 Popular Post Posted 26 June 2025 I'd like us to sell 90% of the squad and start again so if we could get £5m we should probably take it. Not because he couldn't do a job in the championship but because we just need a reset. That said, I don't like reading disrespect towards him. He's been a great servant to the club. At one point he was an absolute beast in midfield and it's just time and injuries that have reduced his effectiveness. 8
Claridge Posted 26 June 2025 Posted 26 June 2025 I wouldn't want us to buy him as he is now for 9 million, so I would defo take 5

It didn't;t strike me that Ndidi was really agitating to leave on a free as there weren't loads of rumours - which is what normally happens as agents get on the phone to news outlets. If you need a PL standard DM then £9m for this is a bargain https://fbref.com/en/players/6b47c5db/Wilfred-Ndidi
Stadt Posted 26 June 2025 Posted 26 June 2025 We paid £7m each for Coady and Cannon. Ndidi with 220 apps and a mainstay in an FA cup winning/CL chasing side isn't worth half of that apparently. Only on FT our shit players good and our good players shit.
JJD_LCFC Posted 26 June 2025 Posted 26 June 2025 Personally would keep Ndidi for the championship. We still need a strong side to get promoted and Ndidi is excellent for this division. Our midfield of winks, ndidi and Skipp should be the best in the league. 1
